“This is an especially nice walk (1.2miles) when the red maple trees are at their most colorful state. At the half way point the trail crosses a stream where a bench has been placed. There is also a connection trail that leads to the Mt Rose Trail system on the Stony Brook-Millstone Watershed Reserve. While no deer hunting occurs on Sundays, check sign on posted hunting dates... The trail will be closed then.”

“This is a great place for easy hiking. Windy paths through the woods offer shady walks out of the sun. The Stony Brook stream is perfect for cooling off the feet and hunting crayfish, salamanders and lizards. The meadows are a treat for the eyes, full of flowers, grasses, and sun. And don't miss the frog chorus right outside the Nature Center! The Institute itself is a fun place with some good exhibits. But the best part has to be their summer camp. Amazing and the kids never want it to end!”
