(December 1, 2018, 11:14 am)Many of the other reviews cover the technical side of singing, so I would like to say that as a beginner, I like that Rich has always been patient, even if I repeated mistakes, is very encouraging, and makes me always want to continue rather than see the lessons as a chore I had to go to.
There are various student concerts throughout the year so there are chances to sing in front of others and also hear what others are doing. Some students also play instruments and volunteer to play in the band for others.
Overall, lessons with Rich have been a very enjoyable learning experience.

Rich is a wonderful teacher who is patient and takes the time to personalize the lesson to suit the students needs. He is encouraging and supportive and really has helped my son explore his potential and maximize his talent.

(March 13, 2018, 9:29 am)I had a truly great experience getting voice lessons from Richard. He is super talented, driven, and focused on helping the student recognize their potential and extract it. I went to Richard for lessons in the weeks leading up to a recording session for my band and my band and I all recognize the impact of the lessons on my vocals. Highly recommended.
(February 2, 2018, 3:19 pm)I studied with another vocal coach for a few years and at the end of that time I came away with a limited view of my capabilities. For fun I thought I'd try a few lessons with Rich just to get another perspective. Immediately he got me doing things I never thought I could do. He increased my range, got me singing falsetto, taught me how to color the tone of my voice for different effect, and so much more. That was 10 months ago and I'm only scratching the surface of what I know that I can do now.
And not only does he work on singing technique but also on mic technique and overall performance improvements that have just taken me to a whole new level.
He's a true musical partner in achieving my goals - someone that is as excited about music, about singing and about performing as I am.
I strongly urge anyone considering lessons to seek him out first. He's the best there is.
