The accessible room could do better, the shower isn't very accessible. It would be nice if the door from the room to the parking lot was accessible too. The highway sounds are a bit loud.
The desk service was very friendly and accommodating, though. And the hotel is well located to a lot of shopping, restaurants, and highway access.
The king room in the second floor was very comfortable. Staff is nice. There is no breakfast, however there is coffee and water in the front desk. The building has two levels and there is not elevator. Parking lot is very big and free.
Lovely neighborhood, close to everything! Highly recommend!
Great location and convenient for commuters.
I lived in these apartments for a year and although it was sometimes difficult to get in touch with management, generally my experience was good. My oven developed a gas leak halfway through our lease and we were not charged to replace it, although it did take a week for them to get a new oven. Neighbors are polite and friendly, I never felt unsafe in this complex. There is lots of green space out front and porches on the complexes if you like to spend time outdoors. Aside from the oven, I never had any maintenance issues and only $12 was taken from our security deposit because of damage to blinds that very likely happened due to my cat. My one recommendation is to just stay on top of management if you need something, and they will get back to you eventually!! Smaller maintenance requests were always fulfilled within 24 hours. If you're looking for an affordable apartment to live in Highland Park, this is a good option!
One final caveat is that parking enforcement in the lots behind the complex is slim to none, and people will often double park in the lots. Most people who park in the lots live there, but not necessarily all of them. Honestly, just street park your car, it's not worth it to fight for a spot. I've seen several instances of damaged cars because they were double parked in the lots.
Staff is friendly, maintenance is quick. There was one issue of assault when I moved in not with me but by my building and the police were quick to catch the perp and make us feel safe. The building is pretty quiet. They have pipes that clog easy in your sink and not a lot of cabinet space but those are the only things. Heat and water are included and the water gets really hot which I love. Kitchen is huge and all the rooms are good sizes. Closets are huge and there are a lot of them. If the rent doesn't go up could picture being here for a while. :)
