Just wanted to share a great service experience I had last week with my Lelit MaraX purchased in 2020. Was having an issue that could not be troubleshooted via email with techs, so made an appt to bring it in for evaluation and repair. While I waited, they replaced the solenoid and did some minor descaling. Since I live 2 hours away, I appreciated not having to drop off and then pick up later. Also repairs were covered under the warranty coverage at the time of purchase. Also a reminder to use an in tank water softener and to recharge weekly. Thanks Jim and the team!

Jim and his staff were very knowledgeable, helpful, prompt, and kind. Amazing selection of quality coffee equipment to make top notch espresso at home or business. It's no wonder they've been in business for 25 years! Thanks again!

Had a great experience with Jim and his team at his Jersey location. Got my new Lelit Bianca home and have been making great Espresso's and Lattes for the last few weeks. Thanks again for everything and getting me setup. To show this guy places people over profits - he didn't want to give me the first machine he pulled out of a box! Didn't like the way something was happening with the unit..so he pulled another machine to test again before I could take it home. If that is not customer focus - I don't know what it! This is my third purchase of an espresso machine, I had an Oscar simonelli for almost 10 years so this was quite an upgrade. Did a bunch of research to determine which machine was best for me. Read reviews on machines, home barista blogs, watch count less video reviews from whole latte of love, seattle coffee gear, and others. Thought I had it pretty much narrowed my selection down to couple, then stumbled onto a Java Jim, Lelit Bianca video. I was hesitant because I knew nothing about Lelit or this model, plus it was more then I had wanted to spend. I decide to wait a few months to investigate and see what kind of reviews came out about this machine. In the meantime I talked to Jim a couple times about what I wanted, he never pressured me to buy just answered my questions, talked about other machine possibilities, and of course talked about the Bianca. I was just couldn't pull the trigger on the Bianca at the time, The whole grate shipping requirements associated with the machine, kind of scared me too. Jim told me whenever I was ready just let them know, he'll set me up. When I heard the grate shipping issues had changed, I contacted Jim again and purchased the Bianca. I have had the machine for almost 10 months now and it has surpassed all my expectations. I would and have highly recommended this machine and 1st-line to friends interested in an espresso machine. I shopped for several months for a new espresso machine and talked to several of the best companies that I could fine on the Internet. Each company was professional and helpful in explaining the equipment they sold, each one having their ‘favorites’. In one of searches 1st-line Equipment popped up. I called and spoke with a very knowledgeable sales person who followed up with three recommendations for espresso machines, the first was a Lilet Bianca duo and the second was a Bezzera Duo Matrix. I had some questions about each one and the sales person connected me to Jim Piccinich, very straight forward and knowledgeable. Jim spent a good bit of time in explaining the specifications of each one. The reviews everywhere for the Lilet Bianca, but became concerned that the Lilet Bianca had more capabilities than my ability and talked to Jim who was very patient and helpful. He suggested the Bezzera Duo Matrix and had one available for pickup. I was sold and the day after Christmas I drove to their shop in Freehold, NJ and met Jim in person. When I walked in I was blown away at the array of espresso machines on display and Jim was professional, down to earth and his staff was efficient in getting all the paperwork organized for the sale. Jim demonstrated the Bezzera that I will review separately and boxed it for the car ride back to NC. The machine is very heavy and I needed help getting it from my car to it's place in my kitchen, but it was so worth the effort. In addition to the espresso machine purchase Jim helped me choose the correct BWT filter, related accessories and some espresso beans.
The after sale follow up by Jim and 1st-line equipment has been great. I needed help with the auto on-off function and choosing the ideal time for a double shot. Jim helped me sort out both. He gave me a recommendation for water choices until I got the BWT filter installed.
This weekend I replaced my old faucet, installed a water dispenser and got the BWT filter installed. The taste difference has been noticeable. I made an amazing cappuccino after it was installed. I opted not to make a direct water connection to the espresso machine so that I can get good drinking water and manually fill the machine. The Bezzera Duo matrix is a top quality machine and performs beautifully.

Buying the Bezzera Duo Matrix and Filter equipment was a big deal for me and Jim at 1st-Line Equipment helped make it easy and smooth. I’m really glad I found 1st-line Equipment and Jim.
