“I was honestly very surprised to see so many negative comments. I have had nothing but excellent interactions with the police department here in Howell over the past 5 years, and have always felt that I have been treated with respect. While I am not LE myself, but have led a church security team and am a member of the FBICAAA, I would like to remind everyone that police officers have a very stressful and dangerous job; they need to assess a situation on the spot an be observant for any possible threats. I think that having this attitude when interacting with law enforcement and doing everything you can to help make them feel at ease (such as always keeping your hands visible for instance...) will go a long way towards making your experience positive. I am certainly not saying that errors or potential mistreatment, etc. can't happen, and if and when they do they should be addressed through the proper channels. But just keep in mind that if you ever need to call 911 for a police emergency, you will be really glad to see the Howell PD show up for you.”

“We needed a room for 1 night as we were passing through. Room was clean, hot water, cool air conditioning. Bed was comfortable and pillows were the full, firm kind so I got a decent night's sleep after traveling all day. Check in was easy. We had no issues as this was what we needed. Not a fancy place as there is no pool, breakfast and such. Great for overnight.”

“Bill and his team have done a great job with my tank for years. Both Josh and Andrew are always friendly and courteous when they come in. They each have tremendous knowledge about reefs and tanks. They take care of the tank as if it was their own and I’m very appreciative of all they do! One night after I caught an aggressive fish that I wanted out of the tank, Bill came to my house after 9PM to collect the fish, really going out of his way for me.”
