Wonderful displays! A must see for young and old.
Great way to start your visit to this important historic site. The Visitor Center is brand new and features all new exhibits as well as many artifacts from the actual battle. There's also a great movie that's a must-see.
We were peach picking at Battleview orchards, when my mom asked, "why is the cannon your logo?". The awesome workers at the store told us all about Monmouth Battlefield and that is was right around the corner. So we took the 2 minute drive and it is so amazing there. The grounds are beautiful and well kept. We went right to the main building to find amazing artifacts, replicas and facts about the battle. They have interactive spots, my kids loved!! What a cool piece of history we didn't even know about! They have plenty of information and maps you can take. They have two different maps for self guided tours. We didn't have that much time before he had to get going, so we just walked around the museum and down the hill and across the bridge. Again, BEAUTIFUL and to know you are standing where such an important and historic battle was fought gave us goosebumps. They have statues and monuments all around, next time we will have to allot more time so we can really take our time and read about each one. They have ample picnic tables and even grills to make it a day. We did manage to make it to the play ground. It's small but clean and j believe they offered bathrooms in the building next to it. We had just went in the main museum so we didn't have to go. This place is a gem!
Visitors center has a nice display regarding the battle. The 10 minute movie is very good describing the significance of the Battle of Monmouth
Excellent park while the Battle of Monmouth recreation is occuring. The volunteers always do an amazing job. The park still shines as a quiet, uncrowded gem when no events are happening. If you need to get away from it all for a few hours this is the place to go.
