Don is the best mechanic around. Super fair and will never do a survive until it’s necessary. Very trustworthy. Thank you
Today was my first visit To Straight Line Automotive. I had heard about the shop from several people I know around town, called and scheduled an appointment. Despite my truck only needing an oil change, Don fit me in his busy schedule, took great care of my 15 year old family hauler, and charged a fair price for the amount and quality of the oil used. I had read a review on the site that stated he would not tell him where to go to get his car fixed, but I found that Don (the owner) took the time needed, explained what my car may need in the future and ideas on what he could and could not fix. He readily gave me suggestions for places to take care of those items he does not specialize in without me asking. For all of us that love to have a knowledgeable mechanic in the area as a go to guy, I think this would be a great choice. Old school service right in our backyard.
I have a husband that's completely qualified to do general maintenance on our personal vehicles; however, after spending his days working on performance vehicles for his clients, he REFUSES to work on our cars. That's why I go to see Don at StraightLine. There's nobody better. He's honest, straightforward, and is reliable. I don't think twice about getting in any of my vehicles and carting around my kids in them after Don's worked on them.
Don at Straightline is the classic, hometown, trustworthy mechanic that your family will use forever. He offers suggestions for future repairs without trying to up-sell anything that isn't absolutely necessary. He isn't afraid to be honest if your car isn't worth repairing (I've had a few), and will give you options whenever possible (new parts vs remanufactured). Honestly, he amazes me with how productive he can be in a single day. Just watch the number of cars that cycle through his shop and remember that he's a one man operation. He earns his reputation every single day, all by himself.
This is a great one man shop that is stripped of all the added variables and unknown quality of mechanics seen in larger shops. Don does it all, he's the classic hardworking, honest mechanic that anyone looks for. Look past the missing front desk person and instant service scheduling and you will be very satisfied with the care for your vehicle.
