“The trail map is a bit tricky the follow. The trails have a lot of markings but not all of them are clear to those like me with an imperfect sense of direction. Overall I liked the park and found the trail easy but not too easy. Will be going back to find those ruins!”

“Scenic views from the Kay Environmental Center, a Morris County Parks property, home also to The Nature Conservancy's northern New Jersey staff. This is a wonderful point to begin a short walk or long hike -- trail maps are available here -- or just to visit to take in the scenery, butterfly garden, meadows and nearby Black River. Nature Conservancy staff is here during business hours. Feel free to drop in and say hello. The home and surrounding property were a bequest from Mrs. Elizabeth Kay.”
