Professor Ruben and his team are truly top-notch. It is very obvious that they truly care about their students and are thoroughly dedicated to their craft. Whether you are looking for competition-ready training, pursuing a wonderful and fulfilling new hobby, or sharing these things with your children to help them get bully-proof and build their confidence, The Hive is the place for you. If you are near the Cream Ridge area (or even if you don’t but you also don’t mind the drive), you owe it to yourself to check them out.

Highly recommend you come check out Hive!! I’ve trained at numerous gyms through out my jiu-jitsu journey over and can honestly say Ruben and his team runs one of the most down to earth, honest and welcoming places. They combine a variety of techniques including wrestling, judo and striking for all ages and skill levels. My wife and I will continue to attend, we are glad to be apart of the Hive family!

I love this place been going since December 2024! The instructors are so nice, the vibe is so family-friendly I love it, learning cool new things each day from jujitsu / striking and making new friends is what it’s about!

I have been training here consistently for 10 months now; I’m a blue belt woman and I have been able to grow here and learn jiu jitsu (and striking!) like nowhere else. The atmosphere and vibe is so family-friendly and warm, with zero toxic “bro” culture yet still having world-class instruction. I feel privileged to call this place my home. If you’re looking for somewhere to get started that’s safe and friendly, but where you will still learn from amazing instructors, look no further. I’m so grateful to the owners/instructors for the time and effort they put into the culture.

The instructors here are top notch and genuinely care about the students progress on and off the matts. They teach very high level techniques in a simple way. Everyone is super nice and very encouraging to new students, also very eager to help you succeed. Amazing place & Amazing people. 10/10 would recommend.
