The Emily de Camp Herbarium in Island Beach State Park, New Jersey, maintains nearly 400 preserved plant specimens that occur in and around the barrier island that makes up the park.
David worked to develop the Emily De Camp Herbarium at Island Beach State Park, one of the last undeveloped coastal barrier islands in New Jersey. He continued to share his knowledge of plant science and conservation with many different community and governmental groups, giving lectures...
It hosts a variety of habitats including tidal marshes, creeks, ponds and open water, along with a wide assortment of wildlife. Rent a kayak (or bring your own) and explore this beautiful area, or travel by foot, making sure to stop at the Emily de Camp Herbarium.
This particular specimen is located at the Emily de Camp herbarium in Island Beach State Park, NJ. This is a riker box which will be used for displaying the specimens. This is one of Sandy Hook's dunes in which we will obtain specimens.

Received $6,000 grant from Save Barnegat Bay, in support of operation of the Emily de Camp Herbarium, to pay students and expert contractors to collect and preserve documents and display plants from Island Beach State Park and to communicate the nature and diversity of those plants.
