“Lovely park with some simple trails. Fun for a family outing. We visited on a warm December day and it was windy and muddy after a recent rain, so definitely wear boots if you're taking the trails when it's wet! Plenty of parking and the trails were clearly marked for most of the way.”

“Cozy & quiet beach on the bay away from the crazy ocean beach season. Went on a Friday afternoon and it was $7 per person. Age 62 and older can buy a lifetime beach pass for Shelter Cove and Ortley beach for $15. There were 2 volleyball nets set up, a parking lot, and convenient bathroom on site which I didn't use so I cannot describe it. There is not a concession stand on site so you will need to bring snacks and drinks, unless you drive out to the highway for lunch and go back. Mostly women with small children, but very well behaved. The swim area is roped off and there is a lifeguard on duty until 5. It's definitely a great place to relax by the water without the craziness of the ocean beach crowds and traffic.”

“Great park, we had a great time here with my kids, they have lots of different stuff that kids can do here, swings, slides, a pretend boat, a big rock that can be climbed on, they have a covered sitting area with tables it was nice to sit there on a hot day, they also have a separate area with swings, slides and other great stuff for toddlers, this is all besides for the soccer field behind this area, there also lots of parking spots. I was very happy to and I would definitely come here again with my kids.”
