Try their signature ceviche, papa a la huancahina, chaufa.
Parking can be tricky so have patience.
Service is fast and very attentive.
Highly recommend to try if you are in the area.
(April 29, 2023, 9:14 am)If you're looking for a fantastic Peruvian dining experience, I highly recommend Jaimito’s. From the moment you step inside, you'll be transported to an amazing place with its beautiful decor and welcoming atmosphere.
Now let's talk about the food - oh my goodness, it is absolutely delicious! I highly recommend starting off with the ceviche, which is made with the freshest fish and bursting with tangy citrus flavors. The lomo saltado is another must-try dish, with tender strips of beef, sautéed onions, tomatoes, and french fries, all served on a bed of fluffy white rice.
But what really sets Jaimito’s apart is the exceptional service. The staff is incredibly friendly and knowledgeable about the menu, and they always go above and beyond to make sure you have a fantastic dining experience.
Overall, I can't recommend Jaimito’s enough. If you're in the mood for flavorful, authentic Peruvian cuisine and a welcoming atmosphere, look no further
(January 11, 2023, 6:30 pm)I used to live in the area and get this food all the time, but I have to say, things have changed quite a bit. The lomo saltado I ordered was 75% packed with white rice, the rest was the actual dish. Also, prices are double what they used to be. But what was had was still pretty good but there might be better options in the area (tons of nice little restaurants and authentic foreign cuisine within two blocks)
(March 19, 2022, 2:33 pm)I can’t believe I never knew this place existed!!! I grew up in the area eating homemade Peruvian food but never went to a chifa place. Huge portions. Their chaufa is immaculate, the pollo is tender, flavorful and not dry at all. Aji verde was good. The lomo is a little different than what I’m used to, but it was good. My friend loves it. Salsa criolla didn’t have vinegar or was super light on the vinegar which was different for me but still good. Alfajores are on point.
Staff was very friendly. My friend told me that the owners are a Peruvian Chinese couple and that their son helps run the place too. Not a lot of seating so if you have a lot of people you wanna do take out.
Next time I’m trying the wantan frito and seco de res (was sold out when I went). Support a local family business and check them out :)
