“This was a fun little find. We left Cape may early and missed a few small diners. Got pretty hungry and almost missed it but hit the brakes hard and I'm glad we did. Total local place, small, probably about 8 tables and a counter. This is a throw back, take a menu and order and pay at the counter and they will bring the food out. I saw the buffet set up and had that. Donuts, two types of eggs. bacon, sausage, corn beef, sausage gravy, chip beef, make your own waffles. all pretty good. We enjoyed the place. small and home town. we will be back next tie we leave the beach to come home.”

“My family stopped in here on our way back from the shore. We needed to use the restroom and after the Wawa down the street had none, we stopped here. We ran in and I waited while my wife took our young child. The staff waited patiently as I hung out waiting for the rest of my family before we place our order. We eventually ordered and were served promptly. The staff was very friendly. As we left, one of the staff locked the door behind us. It was then that we realized we ran in pretty much at closing time. When we looked back at the employee he gave us a don't worry about it wave. Anyway, we had run in at the last minute. Used the restrooms and held them up past closing time (even taking our time to order) and they never rushed us at all. We really appreciated the friendly service and having a restroom where we could take our child on a long trip. Our coffees were good too.”

“The Olympia has some of the best milkshakes around. My favorite is the orange creamsicle. Great selection of custard and hand dipped ice cream. Their food is awesome too. The BBQ pulled pork fries are delicious and extremely unhealthy for you. Better call your cardiologist before eating this! All kidding aside, this is so excellent comfort food. The only drawback is that they are closed on Sundays, due to being owned by the Lapps, who have roots in the Pennsylvania Dutch community. Not a bad thing, but if you happen to be driving back from the Jersey shore on Sunday, no ice cream for you. Open every other day though.”

“Market counter offers top notch fresh Delaware Bay crabs and oysters, plus clams, scallops, frozen Dungeness and snow crab, fish, smoked whiting, and fried platters and sandwiches with quality pepper hash or coleslaw and fries on the side. Interesting crab cakes (not Maryland style, these are almost all crab meat with what seems like a bit of cooked scallions and maybe other herbs, with no red or green pepper, nor Old Bay) -- I like it. Good hush puppies too. It's the only place like it in the area. Keep an eye out for their specials on claws -- at times when they have a lot of crabs they end up with a lot of broken off claws and they sell them cheap. Worth the trip.”

“My family has celebrated Thanksgiving here for the last 40 years. When we first started going the spread was phenomenal. Over the years the quantity and quality declined. The last 3 to 4 years were especially poor. This Thanksgiving new ownership had taken over and I'm happy to say it was great. The quality and variety of selection of was like the old times. I hope they will maintain this level of service as the years go by.”

“Such an amazing, historic place to go on a date, anniversary etc. This is a couples type of atmosphere, but very surreal and romantic. After we tragically lost the coach room in the area, this is one of the only historical places left to dine in. They keep it as true to original form as possible. The food is amazing. Service is always above and beyond. Prices are right for special occasions. A must stop for any couple passing through town, looking for a romantic dinner with a historic touch. Ideally located, not too far from exit 32B on 55. Probably about 10 minutes? My only recommendation would be a special drinks menu. Have your bartender(s) employee(s) dream some up. Maybe even make an event out of it, complete with public involvement, taste testing and ratings. Reach out to me if you still need help dreaming something up! “I am not from the area and have been here only once. I was very pleased by both the service and quality of the pizza I ordered. It was a pretty crowded restaurant, but I didn't have to wait to get pick up my order. The staff was very friendly. I can't imagine anyone having a bad time here unless it's one of those extremely unlucky times where things are just not going your way. If you are craving pizza and considering this place, I highly doubt you will be disappointed.”

“Great food and service in the dining area! My only complaint is the french fries-they are not crispy. King crab legs, clams, mussels, onion rings, pork sandwiches are all TERRIFIC! mac and cheese only gets a good from me, but the high end seafood, including shrimp, cooked PERFECTLY! Never had any issues there and the servers are always on point with beer after beer and checking in to make sure you are good. I did send fries back once, and it was done with a smile. We give the food a 5 on a 1-5 scale and we are picky. A pleasant surprise for what looks like a dive bar, it is actually not a dice and a cool place to hang out. This evening we sat near the burning fireplace in the back of the place.”
