Cross Estate Gardens

Address: 61 Jockey Hollow Rd, Bernardsville, NJ 07924, USA

Park

“A beautiful garden found in the middle of Revolutionary War campgrounds. Planted and tended by volunteer gardeners, the garden is rife with unusual varieties of plants. Gorgeous flowers abound, as do bumble bees and butterflies, creating great photo opportunities and a closer exposure to nature. A nearby promenade offers bench seating and an opportunity to sit, enjoy and contemplate. The estate grounds (purchased from the second owner by the Park Service) feature a decommissioned water tower, which is spectacular. The Cross Estate and the Jersey Battalion encampment are across the street and further west on Tempe Wick Road from the main entrance to Jockey Hollow (Morristown National Historic Park).”
