“Came up on vacation to visit my brother, and my daughter that recently got braces (2 weeks prior) had some rubber bands pop off on the inside of her teeth. She was in a lot of pain, and couldn't eat much. I first called another Dr., and was told that it would cost $100 for an out of town emergency visit. I then called Dr. Silverstein's office, and was told they would do it for free, since they didn't want her to go through any pain during the holidays. We get there, and the staff were amazing and friendly, and not only did Dr. Silverstein put the new rubber bands on for her, they also gave her more wax, a toothbrush, and some oral gel for the pain. Absolutely amazing people, so much so, that they got a new customer in my niece.”

“I have been seeing Dr. Cowen for many years. He deeply cares for your health and well-being. HE (not a secretary) returns all my calls as soon as he gets a free minute (usually within 30 minutes), schedules you right in, and adjusts medication as necessary. He even called me while he was literally on the beach one year!!! I also don’t abuse calling him incessantly, so he knows when I call I really need him. The one downfall for many is that he doesn’t accept insurance; but most of the excellent psychiatrists don’t! I’m more than happy to pay out-of-pocket, and then file an insurance claim. I always recommend him to my friends in need of psychiatric care. PS. For the ONE person who said he was “dry.” He’s not there to entertain you! With that being said, once he gets to know you he jokes around, with me anyway, because I’m a ball-buster. :)”
