Whether in his office or hospital room, Dr. Iorio was very thorough in his examination, asking many questions, helping to calm any worries we had. His simple act of sitting in a chair in his office or next to my husband's bedside, conveyed to us the good doctor was not in a hurry to leave. He was there to answer any questions, explain in laymen's terms what was happening. During one of my husband's hospitalizations, I learned that Dr. Iorio earned the nickname "Midnight Cowboy" because he was apt to show up at any time during the night to observe and check on his patients. I was told by the nurses how Dr. Iorio would often sit next to my husband during the night just to watch him breathe and listen to any sounds. Dr. Iorio is the most dedicated doctor I have ever known. I moved away 2 years ago and have yet to meet another doctor like him.
