“A hidden treasure in Vernon. Literally - how many shops in Vernon are down a flight of stairs? Guitar, bass and other repairs and lessons. Been going there for years now, and Jim and Bill Hobson never disappoint. Jim is a solid luthier, and Bill, his son, is in the right place to take it further. They have optimized or repaired most anything, guitar, banjo, mandolin, bass - that I brought to him. Prices are very fair, and the quality of the work just great. In particular an old strat that needed a LOT of rebuild came out - just incredible. Thanks Fretshop!”

“This is a great store. They often have everything you need. You do pay a premium for convenience, and the selection is not the best. Sometimes you're better off going down the mountain, but if you need quick and convenient *anything*, you can go there. The next closest hardware store (in the valley) is not likely to have more, and they're a much better option than trying to get to Home Depot or McAfee. The beer selection is pretty good. The liquor selection is decent. The tools and home repair equipment is good. Groceries are limited, but they'll often suffice.”
