“The resort is nice, family oriented. My only complaint is the access to rooms and the extremely strong odor of the pool chemicals. It's unfortunate they couldn't make access to rooms without cutting past the pool area which looks very clean but if you have an issue breathing in those chemicals this is not a place for you. Otherwise, the service from staff was excellent!”

“For Vernon it's alright, but there are better places for the money like scenic farms. But the fact that there are golf carts is one of the coolest parts, grass is alright and the pro shop could be nicer for the money, but overall it's about what you expect from a vernon golf course”

Like the neighbouring Crystal Springs course, it sets off alongside the Grand Cascades Lodge. It too quickly drops downhill, courtesy of a stylishly bunkered opening par-4 and plunging par-3.”

“Had a few drinks and appetizers at the Crystal the Springs Resort. Also managed to tour the wine cellar. The establishment is pristine and the service is exemplary. The Browns are beautiful all year round and the view is breathtaking. Great place to enjoy a single evening or stay for a few days. There is no shortage of things to do. Swimming, Spa, tennis, racquetball, classes and the list goes on! I have to say, for all the things available, The Wine Cellar was my favorite. With stone walls and a rustic feel, I highly recommend the tour to any wine connoisseurs.”

“I had the French onion soup with mozzarella cheese and the beef stew. Both were delicious. The soup had a nice spice to it and the beef in the stew was extremely tender and cooked to perfection with cooked baby carrots, celery, onions and mashed potatoes. I would definitely get it again!”

“Took my cousin here for a relaxing weekend and between the lodge and this spa we did really enjoy our time. Appointment must be booked ahead of time otherwise you will not get what you want done. We received 3 treatments and had a great experience. Prices are high of course but for a once in a while type thing, the whole package was worth it.”

“Part of the Crystal Springs Golf Resort, this 9 hole Roger Rulewich designed course offers a regulation par-36 layout. Challenging, scenic holes. I like to play different tees for the second nine to get a different playing experience the second time around. Great twilight and super twilight deals abound and the course gets much less play than it's neighbors.”

“It's certainly not the Alps or Rockies, but for NJ's back door, there's some decent skiing to be had here. I like to look at this ski slope as the perfect gateway to skiing. There is a great bunny hill and a few slopes of increasing difficulty to get practice in. It's a good place to get some refresher runs in, but experienced skiers won't find much to spend a hole day here. Lift tickets are cheap though, and rentals nearby aren't too expensive so it works great for beginners and those getting back into the habit. There is even a decent bar and restaurant to get a break in.”

“Great place to stay during Oktoberfest! Pool and hot tubs were wonderful after a long day. Awesome suites with two burners and everything you need to cook with. My one negative note is that it was a busy night in the pool and the stone floor in front of the elevator was soaked and I slipped and fell. Definitely needed to mop up that space.”

“Great place to ski that is close to the suburbs and New York City. The amount of trails was outstanding! There are a total of 48 trails. The trails range from greens, blues, reds, and black diamonds. Also, the kids camp is outstanding! My daughter went for the full day and loved it. If you are interested in having food I would suggest going to Schwartz, go inside right of the ski/pole return, walk and turn left the turn around the corner and turn right and go UP the stairs. There should be a large bar with TVs and couches and tables. The pretzel was fabulous, amazing bier cheese.”

“My wife and I have been guests at Apple Valley Inn at least a dozen times. It's actually very unusual for us because we tend not to stay in the same place twice. Lauren and Leigh are such exceptional hosts that we just keep coming back. It's like staying with family. The Inn and grounds are magnificent. The breakfast is the best we've had at any B&B and they're so accommodating to my wife's dietary restraints. Rooms are so comfortable and well appointed with amenities like DVD players and gas fireplaces. There's also so much to do near the Inn, between Warwick, Vernon, the wine trail, and more. I highly recommend staying at Apple Valley Inn any season.”

“Clean, tidy room and bathroom with pretty much everything I needed. I found the bed comfortable, the wi-fi and satellite signal fairly stable except during storms. The owners are very friendly. When I enquired about an iron and ironing board (long business trip), they went out and bought them for me. I would stay here again.”
