Proud Thai Cookery

Was visiting the area and did a search for 'Thai Food' this was one of many suggestions that appeared. I must say that I am glad that we selected this place. The food was really good, authentic tasting, and the portions for the lunch special was plentiful. If ever in the neighborhood again this one is a must!

Proud Thai is legit and we should be proud to have such amazing Thai food in the Berkeley/New Prov area. Hot means hot here and everything is fresh, cooked to order and so incredibly delicious. We’ve been a few times for takeout and it’s always consistently excellent. If you’re looking for Thai food in the area can’t beat this spot.

Ordered take out on a Saturday around 4 pm. Food was ready in 20 minutes. Servings were generous and the food quality was fresh (shrimp with tails and large chunks of calamari). Very pleased and can’t wait to try more!

My favorite Thai place in the city closed and I haven't had good Thai food since. Found this place and it's amazing! Can't wait to go back again.

Some of the best Thai food in the area. They make their food almost as spicy as the Thai food I've had in Queens (where if you've not had Thai level spicy, you order mild and it's still spicy). I like that the food is not Americanized. They definitely have some of my favorites and they make them well. My only wish is that they made bua loy!
