(January 16, 2019, 1:27 pm)We went shelter camping in one of the cabins here. It was actually very comfortable (even in January). No electric and no plumbing (although there are public rest rooms with running water and electric). Bring your own sheets for the mattress and a lot of flashlights.
(December 5, 2018, 6:24 am)A wonderful getaway in the woods where you can rent a cute little cabin or a tent site for camping. Accessible restrooms, playgrounds and healthy choice of hiking trails!
(November 22, 2018, 10:35 am)Great variety of hiking trails with beautiful views. Good place to let the pups run around and sniff all the things. Well marked trails. For quick loop (maybe 2.0 miles) take yellow, left on blue, left to red.
(August 27, 2018, 12:08 am)Great hikes and beautiful scenery! Bring the bug spray and your long pants and you'll do fine. The shelters are worth the moderately priced cost. The staff was helpful and interesting
(August 17, 2018, 2:54 pm)We camped here for two nights during the week, in August. It was not at all crowded -- we practically had the campground to ourselves. The office at the park said that things are much more crowded on weekends. The bathhouse was clean, and the campsite was clean and dry. The lantern hook was a big help at night. The office recommends campsites 20, 19, and 18, but we were at campsite 16 and found it fine: it was a bit of a walk to the bath house, but very private. Our big concern, if we had one, would be the quality of the trails. The Jenny Jump trail was so overgrown that we couldn't hike it, and other trails were somewhat overgrown, as well. Overall, a good camping trip.
