“I moved from Seattle to NYC and had a fantastic experience with Smartbox start-to-finish. Their team was professional, friendly, and efficient (Lauren, Gwen, and anyone else I missed). They offered as well a $125 credit to book in the next week-without prompt- and they were already the lowest priced pod company. I had researched several moving box companies and Smartbox was one of two that was able to speak to tricky Manhattan sidewalk/running truck laws, and the truck driver’s hourly rates were significantly cheaper than the other guys’. On Seattle initial delivery day, Brian showed up right when he had previously double-confirmed he would, and was efficient, friendly, and a master of the forklift (I lived in a tricky, hilly, narrow neighborhood in Seattle with little street parking). He showed me how to best secure the Smartbox and advised me on the best ways to secure the box overnight. He picked up the boxes two days later right on schedule and away went my things went on a cross-country adventure. I was overseas when I coordinated my move-in timeframe with the team, and they promptly and efficiently directed me to Victor, who was also awesome. He coordinated his time with me, double-confirmed his timing with traffic estimates, and made the experience A+. An NYC miracle happened and Victor & my moving guys (Great Movers, also awesome and reviewed in a separate post) were there on time, incredibly efficient, and pulled off the box unloading in an hour. All in all, what could have been an obscenely stressful experience ended up being as stress-free as one could hope a cross-country move could ever be. I will definitely use Smartbox for future moves!”
