“If you're in recovery and looking for a great school with a solid CRC, TCNJ best be on your radar... You have Rutgers (Big school) and TCNJ(Small school) as the top CRCs in the state. Here's what TCNJ had while I was there (they were blowing up in 17' 18' could have more) NA on campus, SMART Recovery on campus, AA meeting across the street (walkable), and weekly CRC meetings. There's faculty support, substance free housing, a decked out loung, and scholarships for people in recovery. If you want to hear about my experience read on... I had an amazing experience at TCNJ, having a Recovery Community made it easier and a lot more fun. We met weekly and hung out or planned ways we could reach others in recovery (it was new in 2016 when I started) Social events included: bowling, hiking, escape room, restaurant crawl (like a pub crawl but with food! Yum!) Ski trip to Colorado, Wii Sports tournament... Goes on and on... You pick where you want to go.. what!? • We had workshops on life skills and dealing with the craziness of school • Every month was a dinner and discussion where anyone was welcome to eat and discuss the topic related to addiction and/or recovery (TCNJ is a very open and accepting school) My fav were the advocacy events. how to break stigma and make tcnj a more recovery-friendly campus. - Speaker events - Outreach - Narcan training - Recovery Language Training. - partnered with other cool organizations. Tcnj is a small school with individualized attention, the CRC was the same. You get the support you need but get to run the group as a community. I highly recommend for anyone I'm Recovery!”

“My husband and I both went to El Primer Paso when we were little. I remember loving it back then and 30+ years later my little one is loving it too! I can't recommend this (full day!) preschool enough. My son is learning and playing and socializing with kids his age, in a safe, fun environment. It's home away from home. Mrs Ramirez is wonderful and so good with the kids (as is all the staff). I also love that the app allows for quick communication and updates. At El Primer Paso I feel confident that my child is in great hands. Highly recommend!”

“My son went there for a few months before entering KG and my daughter has been going there for 1 1/2 year now. I have never had any issues. The staff is always pleasant and my daughter loves being there. I can come in or call anytime, someone is always available to answer my question. The teachers provide a great environment for learning and social skills development. At first, I just thought it was a good daycare... But, when our family went thru some hard time, I was floored with the compassion, the generosity and the support of the owner. I think this school is great and the staff is very caring. All in all, I can only say good things about this place.”

“Montessori Academy of NJ in Neptune was recommended to us by friends who enrolled their toddler. The Academy's location is convenient and basically on my wife's commute to work. We both work full time and decided to send our infant son five days a week after touring the facility and meeting director Stacey. While the facility isn't modern or flashy, we are impressed by the care and professionalism of the staff. Our son LOVES going to "school" and LOVES his teachers. He cracks a huge smile most mornings at drop off, and some days cries when we pick him up, spoiling his afternoon fun! The school does a fantastic job monitoring naps, diet and diaper activity, and he comes home with a "report slip" each day outlining such things and his daily learning activities. We are positive that his experiences at Montessori Academy of NJ have enhanced his learning, development and social skills. I would highly recommend this daycare, and would suggest anyone in the area looking give them a shot and speak with director Stacey!”

“My daughter has been going to Mindful Montessori since she was 2.5 yrs old. It is a true Montessori school with qualified teachers, we love their nurturing care for the children and dedication. My daughter learned to read at 3.5 and do small addition due to their Montessori approach. The children are exposed to math, languages, geography, biology etc. Every spring, they get to see the life cycle of ducks or chicks. From the egg in the incubator, to the chick coming out of the egg and then caring for the chick. Same for the life cycle of the butterfly, so its not only in books and toys/material, but real life. This is the way you get young minds to learn and be engaged. Every time I go inside the school to read or volunteer for an event, I am in awe of how calm, clean and happy the classroom is. My daughter loves going to school and told me that she loves Mindful Montessori because the teachers hug them and tell them they love them, to me this is the best review any school can get. We love the school and are looking forward to our daughter's 3rd year there.”

“I highly recommend Mi-Guzheng. She is a great instructor. She is very patient and caters the lessons according to each student's ability and background. I am retired and have no musical ability or training whatsoever. She takes time to explain the techniques and offers tips. She makes me feel at ease and comfortable. I look forward to my lessons every week because I learn something new each time. Lessons can be taught in person or via zoom. She is fluent in English and Mandarin.”
