“If we hadn't moved I would have sent my son here. My entire review is based on the tour and the tremendous warmth and welcoming spirit of the school director, Rachel Kornfeld. Things I noticed that I liked: Connection to Nature: Students get time to play in the enclosed area but there's also room for exploration. On the tour I could see all of the students rocks and leaves they'd collected from outside, all of their little treasures proudly on display. Their rain boots and gear were muddy and ready to roll. We sent my daughter to another school in the area that said there would be lots of time outside in nature not just time on the playground, but time exploring, but it never happened. It seems that time in nature does happen at Hunterdon Preschool of the Arts and OFTEN! Design: So much light in the classrooms. Even when students are in class nature and outside is visible and so close. So much thought has gone into their new building. Even tiny toilets, adorable and great for little ones who might be a little scared of adult sized bathrooms. Curriculum: Learning through play and exploration. Especially for pre-school aged children, so much of their learning is through play and experience. Community: I could tell that the community was an extremely important part of the school. There was a parents lounge creating opportunity to meet other parents and families but also to really become a part of the school. We ended up choosing our current school because the director gave off similar vibes to Rachel. She and the school made a tremendous impression. If you're looking for a school consider taking a tour to see if it's a fit for your family.”

“Through the years I have done meditation but never was able to quiet my thoughts enough to really experience the full benefits. When Brian offered the opportunity to experience Breath-work I was very intrigued but didn’t know if I could allow myself to become fully immersed. From the first moment, I felt this was different. Brian walked us through the whole process, detailing how he would be guiding us, what he would be saying, what we would be feeling, hearing, etc. This allowed me to relax and know I was in a safe space to allow myself to fully experience what breath-work has to offer. I have now done 3 workshops and have experienced something different, with a positive result, each time. All interesting unique feelings, thoughts and releases. I highly recommend Brian and his program!”

“Our daughter is very happy at Precious Gems Academy! She is in the preschool room and comes home with crafts and school work weekly. It is so nice to see what she is working on while at school. She has made a ton of new friends and comes home happy to tell us about her day. That staff is very friendly and great with communication. They are very flexible with scheduling and have even let her attend a few extra days due to holiday parties. Also, this school is extremely affordable compared to other daycares in the area. We highly recommend Precious Gems!”

“I can't say enough about this wonderful studio and its staff. MIchelle is a fantastic instructor and she has been leading me through aerial yoga and I'm going to try the mat class next. I've heard similar raves about the other instructors there. My friend recently attended the meditation class and loved it. We have two boys who have been apart of the school, my older boy remembers how much fun he had at Happy Face and often asks if he could go back. Our youngest boy loves going to school. “I have been involved with Crossroads in many ways for a number of years; first as a parent, later as part of the CCA Leadership Team (CCA LT-school board), then 3 years as the Principal and Administrator, and now retired but serving as chairman of the CCA LT. I have watched this school grow stronger and more effective in every area. Crossroads has an outstanding group of teachers and that includes every grade from preschool to 8th, as well as "the specials" - Art, Bible, Computer, Library, Music, Phys. Ed., and Spanish. The school has such a joyful and supportive atmosphere, where parents are welcome and invited to be part of the education of their children, and students from preschool to 8th grade are given intentional opportunities to intermingle throughout the year - both the younger and the older children love that and so do their parents. Surveys have shown a very high level of parent satisfaction. Crossroads is focused on helping each child to develop and "own" their faith, to reach their highest individual potential both spiritually and academically, and to succeed in high school, college and life. Many CCA graduates come back to spend a day in the school, which was something I found surprising because I never did that after graduating from grammar school. When they came back for a visit, I always asked, "How are you doing now, and were you prepared?" The consistent answer was that they were doing well, and were well prepared both academically and personally, and would frequently say they were better prepared than their peers from other schools - even for the challenges that life sometimes brings. They feel a strong connection and love for Crossroads and their teachers and fellow students - often well into their adult life. I am also grateful that CCA is always striving to improve, and that has led to the school having a significant impact on the lives of many students and their families. This is truly a family minded school that serves its community well.”
