“As a parent, I began my search for a preschool for my daughter by making appointments to tour a few preschools in our area. Acorn Montessori School was our first tour. I brought my sister, who is a principal of a highly regarded elementary school in Manhattan, with me. Upon completion of my tour, I turned to my sister and said, "I'm canceling my other tours." She agreed that Acorn was one of the most wonderful schools she had ever visited, and my daughter would be lucky to be able to attend Acorn Montessori School. I am also an educator with over 20 years experience in the elementary school classroom. I have also worked as a staff developer. I was looking for the highest quality education for my children, and I felt confident that I had found it. After 3 years of watching my daughter grow through her experiences at Acorn, I am happy to say that Acorn has exceeded my expectations. The school has an amazing staff of highly skilled teachers. The administration is very responsive, and the community is a wonderfully supportive group of families. There is an amazing balance of providing students with challenging experiences while still giving them plenty of time to play. I'm so grateful that my daughter is a student at Acorn Montessori School and am looking forward to my son becoming a student in the future. ”

“We have been thrilled with our experience at Foundations for our 2 and 5 year olds. It is a rare owner-operated daycare with high standards and structure. The school leadership is caring, innovative, and generous. The kids have musicians come in to sing to them. They've had children's book authors from NYC come and read - the school even gifted every child copies of the book! We've had tremendous support dealing with typical developmental milestones like potty training and interpersonal child dynamics. Your children will be in good hands at Foundation.”

“My son attended First Step, had a terrific experience and has made lifelong friends. The staff had to broach the subject of ADHD and helped us in identifying the issue, addressing it early for an amazing outcome. They really care about the children and have been in business for a long time, showing commitment to excellence and quality care. Additionally, when I moved to the area, I had emergency surgery and had no support. Miss Lynne took initiative, offered extended care and went above and beyond in supporting my son during the post-move transition and through my recovery. Her care and concern for him were stabilizing factors, setting him up for academic success, First Step was my lifeline. In a world where child care has become a commodity, First Step and staff have created a nurturing, caring, safe and supportive environment for learning and personal interaction. It is this level of commitment to the students and their families that puts First Step head and shoulders above others.”

“This review is mostly about the quality of the most popular food in the school. Egg sandwiches are enjoyable and almost always of high quality for a pre-class breakfast. For Lunch, hamburgers and cheeseburgers are rarely on par with Mcdonalds' quality of "assembly" and flavor is nearly never satisfactory. The venerable chicken sandwich bears to its name notorious hit and miss quality, however when one happens upon a satisfactory example it shall be a rewarding, delectable experience. Spicy chicken sandwiches have amassed a type a cult following by the football j-bros. French fries also bear the reputation of hit and miss quality. Sautéed-starch-sticks are presented within a stainless steel monolith warmed by an artificial sun of infrared heat lamps housed in single-serving card-stock cozies bearing the word "munchies" in a 90's style script. Procuring an above average pack will reward the discerned palette with above average dining experience. Both cafe A and B have a stressful, loud, and boisterous atmosphere. Additional dining areas have been provided to accommodate the newly implemented block schedule. Most bathrooms omitting the newly renovated "attendance bathroom" are packed to the gills with vape kids looking for pods. "North Hunterdon High School, A Blue Ribbon School of Excellence." Also, The Pride of Colombia "gourmet coffee" is absolute garbage... 95% of the time. sometimes it's drinkable most times its not. ~A Barista's Perspective.”

“Wonderful summer camp. With a much smaller enrollment, my son enjoyed his summer camp at this lovely quiet school. He enjoyed the crafts, trips and swimming. They have their own on ground pool and swimming instructions and the teachers there are very kind.”
