This is a great place to hike. It has multiple trails, and the wildlife is amazing. Gorgeous views and beautiful sun rises and sunsets. The hike isn't very long if you're walking depending on your pace you could take half an hour or more. If you're jogging of course it is shortened. If you are not from Albuquerque NM I would not recommend just jogging this trail. You are constantly changing altitudes and if you're not used to the dry climate I suggest working your way to jogging and running. On that note, bring the kids, have fun, and enjoy the beauty of this amazing land.
Here's the view looking south from the top hill in the Manzano Open Space. This is a great location to do a short or moderate hike and go easy or hard. If you go when it starts to heat up take some water. There's not a lot of shade.
Really nice running/hiking trails. Nice little boulders. A pointy summit. Western exposure
A great place to walk the dogs, and quiet enough for personal reflection. A lot of off the beaten path trails, but they're not well maintained: a lot of weeds and loose rocks... sometimes the trails can fizzle out of existence, so be careful!
Lovely space, not highly trafficked. Tons of walking/running paths, and tons of rock formations along the way. The views are quite impressive as well!
