Juanita's Comida Mexicana

Address: 910 4th St SW, Albuquerque, NM 87102, USA

Restaurant

“We decided to try a new place for lunch and this was close by. It's a small place with a little parking, but what a little treasure! Homemade chips and salsa at your table, the chips still warm in the basket. My BFF said the salsa was "a little zippy", which means hot in the real world. LOL He got the chicharrones burrito and I chose the 3 rolled cheese enchilada plate. (red on the side) I didn't use much of the red since it had great flavor, but had a punch after a moment. To be fair, my spicy tolerance has lowered, so if yours is average, go for it. The beans were delicious as well. The big surprise was the rice. Layers of seasoning flavor this and I liked it. I normally never like the rice, but this was the first good one I've had. I got the sense this is yummy "grandma-style" cooking. It's only open until 2:45pm, but we'll definitely be back! (I also love those Mexican cokes in the bottle. So much better.)”

Rumor Brewing Company

Address: 28 Arroyo Seco Rd, Cedar Crest, NM 87008, USA

Trail Rider Pizza

Address: 12165 NM-14 b2, Cedar Crest, NM 87008, USA

Restaurant

“This was our second time here trying their vegan items and it was an even better experience than last time! Our server (I think their name was Tenaya) was absolutely amazing! They were very helpful with choosing what to try and just so enjoyable to chat with. I also loved that they asked if we were vegan before telling us the specials for the day. We got the vegan green chilli cheese bread (size of a 12" pizza so just be aware), vegan focaccia grilled cheese, and vegan cheeseburger pickle pizza (SO GOOD). They have a little baked goods section that is mostly vegan too! The vibe inside is also really fun! Can't recommend enough!”

Pacific Paradise

Address: 3000 San Pedro Dr NE Suite D, Albuquerque, NM 87110, USA

Restaurant

“A hidden gem! Our friends actually found out about the place and come here frequently, so they recommended we try it out. It was extremely well decorated, and totally decked out with a partial ship, palm trees, and a lot of “pacific” decor. The service was 10/10 as our waiter was extremely attentive, knowledgeable and friendly. The food was great and we enjoyed our first time here. Definitely will be coming back in the future!”

Happy Chickenzz

Address: 2500 Central Ave SW, Albuquerque, NM 87104, USA

Restaurant

“Pretty darn tasty tenders. Don't expect tenders breaded like KFC. It is a light flavorful breading that is just perfect for dipping in their varied sauces. At least that is how I ordered mine. Naked with dipping sauces. Next time I might order them tossed.”

Metro Subs, Soup & Salad

Address: 2300 Morris St NE, Albuquerque, NM 87112, USA

Restaurant

“What attracted me to this spot was the AMAZING reviews from others! I stopped in one day for lunch and everything looked delicious so I asked the owners what they recommended. I ended up getting a Philly cheesesteak sandwich and a side of green chile stew and wow! They use fresh ingredients making the quality and taste of the food delicious! I ate there, and while I was eating, several other customers came in and I could tell they were regular customers and the rapport everyone had with the owners really showed me that this place really is a local gem.”

Leroy's New Mexican Food

Address: 1209 Old Coors Dr SW, Albuquerque, NM 87121, USA

“Great little spot for some homestyle New Mexican cuisine. Portions are generous, and the service is fast and friendly. I enjoyed a smothered breakfast burrito, Christmas, a side of carne adovada, sopapilla, chips and salsa and coffee. Everything was very good and I look forward to returning!”

Ohana Hut

Council Room Restaurant & Bar

Address: 30 Rainbow Rd, Albuquerque, NM 87113, USA

Restaurant

“Very nice, I had the New York Steak and 2 cheese enchiladas. Steak was cooked to my liking and smothered in green chili. Had pinto beans and papas as sides. Chili was great, not too hot but still tasty. Service was good also. Overall I thought I had a great meal for about $40 including drink and tip. More of a meal than the other restaurants at the casino.”

Starbucks

Address: 5730 McMahon Blvd NW, Albuquerque, NM 87114, USA

Cafe Store Restaurant

“I’ve always had a good experience at this Starbucks. Sometimes the macchiatos are a little milky and the drive through ordering TV for like 8 months looked as if someone took a baseball bat to it. Some people get pretty wild about their coffee. I’m a simple man, and my experiences have been swell. It’s nice to see some of my old students working behind the counter.”

Garcia's Kitchen Express

Address: 6961 Taylor Ranch Rd NW, Albuquerque, NM 87120, USA

“I love this place! It's the only Garcia's that still has the full menu (and I hope they don't change that). Great food, good portions, and reasonable prices. Nice people too!”

Decided I'd try it and I was not disappointed! The soup was spicy but very tasty and the staff were friendly. Driver definitely earned her 5 Stars!”

El Patio Rio

Address: 3851 Rio Grande Blvd NW, Albuquerque, NM 87107, USA

Restaurant

“This is a quaint, almost rustic neighborhood restaurant. Local art on the walls, friendly staff/servers with a laid-back New Mexico vibe. I ordered the chili con queso with chips and I didn't go wrong. The queso was creamy with just the right heat to make it enjoyable. For my entree I had the green chili chicken enchiladas with beans, and a side of sour cream. Dee-lish! It also came with a heavenly fluffy sopapilla made to perfection. Honey was already on the table and made for a perfect palette cleanser and dessert. My only critique is they didn't have any light/low-carb cerveza. Just a minor hitch though. My bill was $32 for the above. I will be returning but not frequently.”

The dining area is a little small, but there is an appropriate distance to comply with COVID precautions. The staff is friendly and they keep the place pretty clean. The parking lot is a little small, but overall it's a fun place to have a bite to eat!”

“This is the type of burger place that I’m looking for when I travel across the country on my motorcycle. And I shady spot to park the people were friendly the place was busy but I only had to wait about five minutes for my burger. The owner came out and asked if I would try a new type of bun making it clear that they’re always trying to make the food better and they did not disappoint. My double bacon green chili cheeseburger was on fire. The fries are fresh cut and fried to perfection and one of the customers loves the business so much that he sitting at the counter taking orders to speed things along. It was nice to see young people working behind the counter with wise leader ship and an owner that takes true ownership of her business. Kudos to the server because when we pointed this out he brought us another order minus the oil. The first 5 photos are photos of the menu, the restaurant, the bill, and our food. The last ones are from a TV they have showing other plates.”

The Burrow Cafe

Address: 12501 Candelaria Rd NE suite F, Albuquerque, NM 87112, USA

Cafe Restaurant Store

“Stopped in for some brunch and enjoyed a crepe and a bagel. I do have two complaints so read through the end. First up, we had the NM Ham Melt. This was a homemade crepe filled with thin sliced ham, diced green chile and cheddar. The Chile was hot and flavorful! Next up, I had the Burrow Bagel. This bagel was just exploding with flavor and really well done. It had pesto cream cheese, shredded spinach, sliced tomatoes, cracked pepper, salt and olive oil drizzle. The coffee was good and the other items on the menu sounded great as well. It did take awhile to get our food so I don’t recommend if you’re in a hurry. But if you’re just having a relaxing morning or maybe on a date, this is a great spot for breakfast or brunch. Also, my side of fruit that I ordered with my bagel was $5 and literally about 2 teaspoons of (possibly canned) pineapple pieces and 2 small half orange slices. You can see it for yourself on the photo with the bagel. It’s the small plastic container on top of my plate, next to the spoon. This was pretty upsetting but the rest of the food and coffee was good so it didn’t damper the experience. I did feel a bit ripped off though.”

The staff great and I even won a certificate for throwing down a great huge burger! Give em time to figure out their whole big line ordering wait. The food was worth the wait for me.”
