I recommend visiting this historical gem in Albany. Paul and his team are very knowledgeable, welcoming, and instrumental in preserving the legacy of Stephen and Harriet Myers' legacy. I appreciate their research and delving into local upstate abolitionists whose names aren't as well known, but because of this museum, their lives, stories, and contributions to the underground railroad are highlighted.
A wonderful re-creation of the home of a husband and wife team leading the abolitionist charge in Albany. We were treated to a personal talk by co-founder Paul Stewart for over an hour. A great learning experience!
A great place to learn about the Underground Railroad. Loved the very informal and personal feel of the place. Also, don't forget to make a reservation. We did not, but they were able to work us in.
