Literally one of the most gorgeous walking trails I've been on. So many nice scenic areas to stop and take some pics. The walk isn't terribly long either. Definelty worth visiting, beautiful nature around you that you don't want to miss!
The place is beautiful. Very romantic. Although, it is very close from the Urban area of Albany, NY it is a very quiet. It was recently renovated. The walking trail are very nice. There is ,also, a bumpy mountain bike trail for those, like me, that like enjoy the outdoors. The lake is not that big but it shelter a good variety of fishes. Go visit it before other find out about this awesome secret park.
Besides the days old dead deer at the trailhead and the unkempt trails, this place has potential. Many invasive species around and clearly no one is maintaining the area. I enjoy walking through the woods but many may not feel comfortable with knee high grass all over the place.
Wild foraging, bird watching, muskrat spotting! People from all walks can get down with it. Today we found some hatched turtle eggs and took some pictures of plants to identify. Definitely found beebalm and St. John's wort and an abandoned bike buried in a ditch. My friend always enjoys mooning the Amtrak as it barrels by.
