It is a huge space that has less trails and more good drives .. with plenty of bird sightings to be had.. while..my camera is not good enough to catch them ..I'm sure it won't take much ....the kanyoo trail had a nice board walk was very flat and easy for any one to manage ...I'm sure there was more trails I just did not find on this visit ..
Beautiful area, it's a great place to visit any time of year!
Last year was my first year hunting here and I didn't see anything. Found a couple of nice bedding areas and lots of game trails though.
When I renewed my hunting license this year I also opted for a dmp (antlerless tag) for here (8g) and I'm glad I did.
Second day out I seen a group of five deer crossing the access road as I was going in.
Two hours later I had my first deer ever.
Ended up harvesting a yearling buck that is hands down the best tasting venison I've ever had in my life! Even my father in law in PA agreed I got the best yet.
Took my 2 nephews (ages 7 & 6). We enjoyed a short hike. They loved seeing the turtles in the water.
Very beautiful place. Nice to hike (be careful of ticks) but other than that I love seeing the animals and just sitting and being still. Snapped good shots as well.
Beautiful, with so many great places to explore. A wide range of wildlife. It's always a treat to see the bald eagles. I love going a year long.
