“I can only speak for my experience with my mom as an elder mental patient. I reached out after months of no luck in Manhattan seeking a therapist and psych for my mom who had a crisis in winter 2018. This clinic called me 2 days after i emailed them. We had Lissette as a therapist and she was wonderful. She has since left and my mom started doing psycho therapy at home due to limited mobility. We are still with her psych in the midst of the pandemic for now 3 years and I am happy. Sometimes I have to clarify a point here and there with the pysch. I think sometimes they get caught up knowing everything they know and unintentionally forget we lay people are struggling and also feel pain with our loved one experiencing mental illness. The point is it takes a community and so long as everyone is willing to communicate and actually listen we can all move forward together. As the daughter of an elderly patient with mental illness my experience has been good but you need to step up and advocate for your loved one and do follow up. When any doctor who is respectable sees you are involved they will also do their best. So overall no complaints. I am glad i decided to venture out of Manhattan to the Bronx and found a great place.”

“When I contacted Maria, I had had a broken foot months earlier and discomfort on my life side from my hip down my IT band, Knee with weakness in my ankle and foot. I met with Maria for several sessions. Each session provided questioning, strength building, conversation and a protocol for me to follow. She gave me stretches and strengthening exercises that I could do in my own home or gym at my own time. Each session added on the last and through this process, I gained my strength back in these specific areas of my body. The sessions gave me confidence that I could do this routine and get my strength back. We think of strength in our bodies with an overall fit appearance and ability. The strength I needed was specific and also subtle. I have these tools that I still do at home and that I can start doing again if I feel any weakness again. These sessions with Maria are informative, strengthening and empowering.”

“I met Ricky 10 years ago on an emergency recommendation from a friend. My car was making a strange mechanical sound. He was about to close but he waited for me. I had just picked up the vehicle from a mechanic in the city...so I had no idea why it was making that noise. He found out that the old mechanic forgot to put the bolts back on my tires. My family and I could have been seriously hurt. He fixed it on the spot. Did not charge me too much. For 10 years he has been my mechanic. Reliable, honest, hard working and friendly.
