“One of the most beautiful and well-kept cemeteries I've ever stepped foot in. A number of famous people rest here for eternity, including Miles Davis (who has the largest headstone I've ever seen), Dorothy Parker, Herman Melville, Irving Berlin, and Bat Masterson. We walked through and found everyone we wanted to see to pay our respects. People do need to slow down driving through here as it is a place of reverence. We literally saw a car going too fast, hit either a pylon or gravestone, back out quickly, and kept driving. Be sensible! These are peoples' loved ones!”

But this one was very nice my children were the only one there at the time. Also the library is right across 5he street from the park”

“What a beautiful oasis in the Bronx of New York. Yes you have to pay but it is worth every dollar. You can also just buy membership instead, as you'll more than likely want to return if you live here. Safety restrictions are in place at the moment to limit numbers and enable social distancing. Although once you are in there is no limit on how long you spend in there. If you want to see the spring blossoms I'd book very soon. Many of the blossoms are already well in bloom and look stunning but there are still more to come. The daffodils seem to be all out but not the tulips yet. The Kasuma exhibits are a joy to see in all their colour. The restaurants are open for food. You may have a queue a little at busy times. We didn't eat but the pizzas we saw looked very good. I hope you enjoy it as much as we did. Our two young daughters also loved running about and doing the quit hunt along the way.”

“Extensive biking and hiking trails. Orchard Beach is probably NYC's least appreciated public beach. It boasts a huge, clipper-ship themed playground. Less crowded, family-friendly getaway every season. The usual tennis and basketball courts. However, the nearby driving range, golf course, horse riding opportunities, AND City Island help make this place extraordinary. The largest park in NYC doesn't fall short of expectations.”

“One of the few green spaces in the area where you can come and enjoy your surroundings. It's shaped in a big loop for those who want to get in some exercise it's almost like be on a trail/hike. The seated areas are well shaded, and there's a path that leads you to the YMCA, and what what use to be Castle Hill Park.”

“Lovely breeze by the water. Nice area for families to enjoy. Needs more seating and table areas. Bring your own chairs, the few benches are not enough. Omg now there is a ferry that leaves this area making three stops in NYC.”
