(June 5, 2023, 1:48 pm)My boyfriend and I came to Ellicottville from Toronto and we did a last minute stop to this bar for a quick beer. Everything about our experience was amazing. The service was top notch and the beer was so good! I would love to come back sometime!
(May 26, 2023, 3:26 pm)My wife and I were traveling north and stopped in Ellicottville for lunch. We wanted to try a new place, so we checked out 12 Gates of EVL. And we were so glad we did! What an incredible space. The manager was super friendly and eager to serve us. The selection of beer is impressive. I had the Peruvian Porter, which was tasty. My wife had a sour, and she enjoyed every bit of it. We ordered the brisket nachos. So good!! I highly recommend 12 Gates of EVL.
(February 18, 2023, 12:00 pm)This bar was fantastic!! So glad we stopped in. They have a good selection of beer and some wine at reasonable prices. I got a sour beer called Blululemon and it was one of the best drinks I've ever had! They had great live music and there's a dart board. The bartender was very friendly and the place had a comfortable atmosphere. Definitely worth a visit!
(January 5, 2023, 8:26 am)We are fans of the 12 Gates in Williamsville and were excited to see one opening right in the heart of Ellicottville (The former Hatchet & Hops). In town for the weekend we had to check it out.
Similar to the 12 Gates up in Williamsville, we walked in and were greeted with some quality live music. The vibe was good and the space is relatively large. They have a nice mix of brews to sample, purchase and enjoy. We did not eat this trip, but did enjoy our time conversing with friends and enjoying the atmosphere.
I feel they have done a nice job overall. The only possible upgrade would be adding some additional lighting on the wall behind the bar. Maybe add another back lit 12 Gates sign where the words 12 Gates resides now. We are already looking forward to our next visit!
P.S. I hope they bring back their "Yoga Pants" brew.
(December 27, 2022, 4:16 pm)Great new place with prompt, friendly service! We enjoyed our beer and wine and the beef on weck flatbread was delicious as were the pretzels and cheese/mustard.
