(October 7, 2018, 8:13 pm)Quaint home with artistic and eccentric flare as well as being close to the foot of Mount Beacon and a short drive to Main st. The host is extremely nice and welcoming. If you prefer quiet and private this is the place.
(September 12, 2018, 10:31 am)This was a perfect place for a break away from NYC. So easy to get to via the metro north line and Jim’s accommodation is only short and inexpensive Uber ride away from the train station in beacon (less than ten minutes). Jim’s gorgeous property is located on the foothills of mt beacon we took the nearest trail from his location the notch trail and hiked for about 4 hours using the maps he provided.
The property is peaceful and so pretty. Loads of outdoor seating area to relax and look out at the view of the surrounding woodland. My boyfriend and I both slept wonderfully (gotta love the sound of silence) comfortable and quaint rooms.
We will be back again, Jim was a very welcoming host thank you.
(August 6, 2018, 9:16 am)Stayed there for a weekend with my girlfriend and had the best time. The house is beautiful, perfectly located, and we could not ask for a more gracious host than Jim. We will certainly be back.

(June 27, 2014, 11:30 am)We knew from the moment we were received by Jim and Adrian that we would love this experience, and sure enough, our stay at the Beacon Hermitage was wonderful! The rooms are clean and lovingly furnished, and we enjoyed the amazing array of Adrian's pancakes. Since we were badly in need of peace and quiet, we used the back room on the side of the woods, where we found both. Our altogether delightful experience was rounded off by interesting conversations with our hosts and the no less pleasant communication with their various four-legged house mates.
