“We just had our master bathroom built by Andy. He did an AMAZING job. Andy was really flexible in allowing us to help out with some projects in order to save some money. Our bathroom is located in an odd room that was part of a 1950s addition in our old farmhouse. It was totally gutted (by us) and ready for Andy to work his contracting magic on. When we were looking for contractors for this project, many designers and contractors (and one engineer!) told us that we couldn't have our bathroom configured the way that we planned (because it was an addition, one of the walls was formerly an exterior wall). Well, Andy proved them wrong. :D We were able to pick our own materials to use, including some possibly less convenient to work with tiles (handmade azulejos) for a shower niche. Andy made those twelve little tiles look awesome! We bought a few extra tiles, in case of emergency, and happily, they still remain. Our shower includes large white subway tiles. The tile work is great. The corners look nice and the floors are gorgeous. The grout work is awesome (I'm comparing this to our other bathroom's grouting, which was done by some incredibly jaded contractors). Andy also constructed a really nice shower bench. My father is disabled and when he comes to visit, he has trouble getting in and out of bathtubs. He absolutely loves our shower. Even though we don't have handicap rails, he is still able to maneuver around easily. Penny tiles are also great for slip-resistance (FYI for anyone who is unsure of these very hard life decisions). Our project included some less common work. We had a rain shower put in, as well as a wall-mounted faucet for our sink. It's great! Less countertop cleaning! Other things in our bathroom remodel included heated flooring (just started using it--it's awesome!) and installing a towel warming rack. To get to the plumbing, a portion of the kitchen wall had to be destroyed. Just like the bathroom walls though, it was drywalled perfectly. The seams aren't noticeable and the walls are smooth. We ordered our shower doors and Andy helped us install them. He came over on a Saturday morning to help my husband and did not charge an exorbitant fee. We had previously had glass door installation quotes by a couple of companies--Ouch! My husband and I refinished the clawfoot tub original to the house. Where the tub is located, there used to be a door which led to a little landing with a set of stairs that lead down to our backyard. We wanted this closed off because a) it was a random door in the bathroom and b) it limited how we could configure our bathroom. We had a window installed instead, and now we still have lots of natural sunlight during the day. Every day that Andy came over, he left our house neat (or rather, no messier than normal). He always had drop cloths ready and the driveway debris was cleared. Our driveway, by the way, is single car width and he can back his trailer up with astonishing precision. Also, my dog really enjoyed napping in his workspace trailer on those. 5/5 stars for this guy! We actually recommended him to my in-laws who wanted a small bathroom remodeled. Their bathroom looks great too! We highly recommend Andy!”

“Dark quiet. Take the doggie for walks sometimes. Squirrel factor substantial.”

“My kids went to school here for 2 years, ranging from Kindergarten-Third Grade (they're 2 years apart). There were positives and negatives but overall it was more positive. The school had events for the parents to attend quite often which was nice, including Muffins with Moms, Doughnuts with Dads, Halloween parties, and more. We made many good memories there! The kids loved the playground - it was a lot of fun and even visited by neighborhood families after school hours. There's a cafeteria, auditorium, and gym, something I find most schools lacking in other parts of the country. Also, they offered instruments in fourth grade, another local offering that I haven't found in other areas. For being a smaller school, I was concerned by the bullying that occurred. My son was bullied quite a bit and it continued on the whole two years, even after meetings between school officials and parents and students. Also, my son was belittled by a teacher there, and his class was taught by a substitute for most of the year, which was shocking especially in NYS, where teacher credentials are thought of to have higher standards. Overall, though, it was a nice smaller school. All before and after school care was very costly, though, another disappointment and something that is higher than other areas, even surrounding cities/towns.”
