“Oh how I love Walden Pond Park. It's one of my favorite places to go. The pond is amazing and when I fish there I almost always catch something ( I just catch and release). There are a lot of turtles in the pond too! And a lot of dragonflies by the pond. It has baseball diamonds. It's very peaceful there. Definitely check it out!”

“I discovered this place by making a wrong turn and do not regret it at all. There is a parking lot, restrooms with a water fountain, kayak rental and launch, beach, beer garden, slides, and fun relics to climb on. We tried to fly a kite there and ended up enjoying the sunset. It is a beautiful park!”

“I like this place because of the easy trails. The elevation changes aren't crazy, and the surfaces are either well mowed grass, crushed stone, or dry forest floor. The map inside the opening isn't super useful, so just walk in- there are colored blazes on the trees but no mention of these on the map.. A great, any season walk!”

Not only do you get excellent advice on beautiful, native plants but you can also enjoy a stroll around the property taking in ideas for landscaping with native plants or just enjoying the birds :) On our most recent visit, we also go some of the homemade soaps which I was going to use as gifts but then tried one out and have to keep them all - they feel so nice and make the bathroom smell so good!”
