“Your guaranteed one stop shop for tasty tea, coffee blends, inspirational art and tropical vibes! A couple of blocks off the Graham Avenue stop (just off the L train) on the corner of Graham Ave. and Powers St., there is a spacious seating area outside to enjoy your drinks and/or have a chat with friends. CBD products (hemp derived) from dog treats to infused brews and more! I would highly recommend getting yourself an iced turmeric herbal latte or mushroom latte. Delicious isn't the word and it's a major plus in it being of benefit to your mind, body and soul 😉 #iykyk Definitely a favorite neighborhood spot with friendly, knowledgeable staff. Do yourself a favor and TREECHASELF or a friend/fam today!”

“We visited this location for the first time by chance. Great selections and variety, fresh and healthy choices. Awesome teas. Very unique setup to order your meal, you check off boxes of your choices on a fill-in slip and present it to the cashier. Very small, intimate, and cozy seating area if you want to stay and eat. Nice and clean too!!! If you happen to be in the area don't hesitate to check it out!”

“I was visiting from Dallas and my friend girl & I happened to run into this place leaving Cuts & Slices!! The owner is so super sweet and named the business after her twin daughters. Thought that was pretty dope! Enjoyed the cookies and Lord's will once I'm back in NY, I'll swing by again! 🫶🏾”

“Got the brewed coffee in my own tumbler. It’s a dark roast that doesn’t overwhelm the bean flavor. Very cozy place with friendly staff.”

“Really worth a visit despite not near to any subway station. The latte was creamy, rich and well made, and I am not exaggerating, and this is probably the best coffee place in Brooklyn. The staff were also nice and friendly.”

“Easily my new favorite spot in Brooklyn. A bunch of other reviews call this place a hidden gem and they're right. Such great food, drinks, and vibes. My partner and I had a date night here and everything we got was delicious and the portions were generous. The decor and experience have wonderful, homey quirks. I'll be coming back soon.”

“My favorite empanada was the Americana. I can’t wait to go back and buy more. I bought chicken, beef and sweet plantain with cheese as well. I also tried the mango smoothie and the frozen piña colada. If I were to choose one, I would order the frozen piña colada again. I tried all three sauces and those are really good too. What’s cool about the empanadas is that they are marked with its flavor. So if you bought chicken, it would say (PC) for plain chicken on the side of empanada or (B) for ground beef. Don’t miss out on the Americana, definitely add it to your order.”

“I love The Coffee Shop! It’s my favorite coffee shop and not only for the coffee which is excellent or for the delicious food which is also excellent, but because of the great atmosphere, overall vibe and the great people who own & work it. The owner Catherine, who everyone in the neighborhood knows and who she knows, is one of the most friendly, fun, cool, smart, and overall helpful people I know and I always look forward to seeing her and getting to chat for a few minutes. Everyone who works for Catherine are really awesome people too and go out of their way to make you feel welcomed while serving great coffee and food. I highly recommend stopping into The Coffee Shop for anyone visiting Greenpoint or who live in Greenpoint and haven’t gone to this fine establishment as of yet.”

“Food was good but service can be a bit more tentative. Overall experience was good. We ordered the double cheese khachapuri and it was super good and cheesy. The chicken and pork kababs we good too. We got both the steam and fried dumplings and we like the fried ones more, fyi they are huge in size. The best thing was the mushrooms and fries. This was one tasty dish and got us by surprise. And we got to try a green soda/leamonade (tarragon) and it was pretty. It's worth a try if yiure in the area.”

“Simply Southern NYC has the best banana pudding ever. I really loved both flavors that I’ve tried so far. Which were original and pistachio. They have plenty other flavors to choose from. If, your ever in the mood for some good ole southern banana pudding, this is a must try. I promise you, you’ll want more. For, all you who don’t do diary, did I mention it’s totally VEGAN!!! 😋Everyone thank me later 😊”

““The Jamaican” sandwich is just INCREDIBLE. Every bite I am just amazed at the perfect combination of flavors from the melted cheese, to the tangy jerk chicken sauce, the sweetness of sweet plantains, and the smooth touch of mayonnaise. The toasted French bread has the perfect texture that you would associate with a Bahn Mi. This sandwich is a living demonstration of mastery and perfection. The owner is super friendly and kind. Portions are really generous. Great Brooklyn vibes from the decor. I just love this place.”

“This is probably the cutest cafe in New York. I passed by and saw the cute pig plushies all over the window display and knew I had to go in. They have a bunch of adorable pig-themed products, snacks, desserts, and drinks. I love that they have non-caffeinated options for drinks. I ordered a milky mango drink, it was delicious! I love this spot!”

“Was not sure what to expect here but I was pleasantly surprised! The Smokey chive/lox sandwich on a wheat bagel was the right amount of all flavorings and cream cheese ratio. The guava cheese pastry was legit divine! Last, you cannot mess up a quesadilla! But this felt like more cheese than I would normally get else where. This is going to be a lunch staple for me! Well done y’all!”

“I live close by and eat the food from Batata frequently. If you’re okay with eating eggs and dairy, the absolute best thing on the menu is the scrambled egg and cheese malawach, with schug and grated tomato on the side. A sweet runner-up would be the coconut milk waffles (the house-made sweet chili butter served on the side is outrageously delicious). The eggplant and labne sandwich is also really good, but I think they only serve it on Wednesdays now. If you’re vegan, I’d recommend the sweet potato felafel sandwich WITHOUT the feta (or with, if you eat dairy), or the lentil soup. (The grain bowl and brussels sprouts used to be really good, but I’m not sure if they’re on the menu anymore.) I like the mint lemonade, too, and you can never go wrong with hummus (particularly the mushroom hummus) and sweet potato fries .”
