“This is the only Chinese restaurant in New York City that only give you three pieces of spare ribs in a combination and then when you get it it's only two and a half. And a very pricey Thank you to the owner for making it right and listening to your customers **** 4 🤩 ⭐⭐⭐⭐”

“This the best low-budget chinese food in Williamsburg, no contest. Everyone knows this place, everyone loves it. You shouldn’t expect good customer service, but that’s part of the appeal. They know they’re the best and no matter what you’re gonna be getting amazing food for insanely low prices. So if it takes a bit longer or they’re curt on the phone, who cares? It’s well worth it”

“Ryan Brown and his whole team were such a pleasure to work with throughout the entire planning process and during the wedding! The food was so super delicious and our guests are still raving about the meal. We did family style for a party of 120 people and it worked out perfectly. Our guests loved being able to try everything. Also, the waiters and other staff that work with Ryan were super professional and such a joy to have at our wedding. Ryan and Patty are pros at what they do and they were amazing to work with when choosing a menu and when picking out our rental equipment. Our venue required us to bring almost everything in, but Ryan and Patty made the process super easy and they were beyond flexible with working with us to stay within our budget. Hiring Ryan Brown gave us immediate piece of mind knowing that we were in the best of hands. Ryan, thank you so much for being there for us and for providing us and our guests with the best meal ever! You're the best! You should definitely hire Ryan and his team for your event!”

“I have never had Chinese food from Yunnan before, and I had to look the region up because it was totally different than any other Chinese food I have ever had. It was very good. For an appetizer, we shared a dish with ox tongue in it ( I can't think of its name) and after that, a tomato based soup with beef and enoki mushrooms. They were both very tasty! We will be back to try some more!”

“The best in Brooklyn! Love the taco shell shrimp salad, you have to try it!! Worth every penny I also have a severe pork allergy and they took my allergy very seriously and have great customer service! Thank you so much!”

“This place food is very good. The shrimp orders I have placed in the past, have all been very good and cleaned out. In other words, no shrimp poop in their veins. That's a good thing because I have been or have ordered shrimp from other restaurants that have not been cleaned out. Now that's nasty to have that on your plate ready to put in your mouth. At home we don't order from any other place around. Plus the food is good prices, not over priced like some restaurant around them. We have tried other places but after we found this restaurant, we have only ordered from them due to the good quality food. Their lunch specials are very plentiful with the amount of food you get. Their combinations orders are good for two people to share with an appetizers.”

“There’s that saying about some restaurants, “a hole in the wall”, right? That’s usually referring to the appearance of the restaurant, which rarely plays a part in the experience and the food itself (based on my experience, anyway). Tiger Box is totally a hole in the wall. It’s small, not fancy at all, not a bunch of hype and frills, but the experience….man, the experience. I arrived to be welcomed by the owner, Sy (spellcheck, please). She.is.phenomenal. We chatted for a bit before I ordered. There’s no seating inside, so I went outside to sit and wait for my food. I had no idea what I was in store for. I tried several different dishes. The spicy pork bowl being one of them. Rice and pork, marinated in gochujang, ginger and other flavorful components, really got me in my feelings almost instantly. You taste the warmth, and the experience, and the love right away. I also tried the kimchi jjigae, which is a hot stew with kimchi, pork, onions, green onions, rice, and more. I’d say this was one of the most special dishes. The kimchi soaking in that stew, the tofu absorbing all of those flavors….ugh. Cooking is an art. This was cooking from a deeply rooted cultural background. The history was in every bite. I also tried the spicy pork ssam wraps, which were delightful. More of that yummy spicy pork, but with the freshness of the lettuce. Such a bright, Spring-y dish! The seafood scallion pancakes were one of my faves! Savory pancakes, packed with flavor, and seafood! I also tried the steamed meat kimchi mandu, which appear as dumplings, but owner Sy says, “no, it’s mandu”. And listen, I wasn’t about to argue with her! She KNOWS, ok?! The mandu was divine. They were stuffed with kimchi and pork. After speaking with Sy, I have so much more of an appreciation for kimchi. She says the process is tedious, that it takes time. The more steps you add to your kimchi, the better it tastes. The more flavor you develop. She says it’s a lot of work, but that she doesn’t regret it. The kimchi is a top seller because it’s served in so many dishes. Sy is special. She really does love running Tiger Box. That is inspiring and you can taste her love in the food. This is homestyle authentic Korean cuisine, and I am still blown away by it all. I cannot wait to get back! Please, please do yourself a favor and visit Tiger Box in Brooklyn.”

“Lived in this neighborhood for over 40 years & first time eating here, not sure why but it will be added to my regulars from now on. Walking along the avenue and decided to grab a bite, glad we did ! Food was absolutely delicious & the coffee was very good which is very hard to pull off for diners. Mike & staff were so welcoming, so attentive checked on us quite a few times which is really important to me when dining out. “We had a charming lunch at D'Amore. Pasta was the name of the game. In this cozy comfortable atmosphere we enjoyed our flavorful meals. We ordered fettuccine with savory garlic and olive oil. The second dish was the cheese-u-lious baked ziti. Although we didn't partake in their elevated desserts, it's a great reason for a return visit.”

“Good for what it is, affordable prices and basic menu. Delicious but a bit salty. Got the boiled potato and sauerkraut pierogis, chicken meat balls, potato pancakes, and plain borscht. For beverages I tried the Kompot and it was really tasty. I would definitely eat here again.”

“We were skeptical at first before deciding to order from this place because it didn't have the best reputation, but we heard about them having a new management recently and we decided to give it a go and we're so glad we did! We ordered safe options that we always order elsewhere to play it safe, the samosa and the paneer makhani. we also went and had the cauliflower dumplings just out of curiosity. To put it simply, the food was amazing. The samosa was fresh, crunchy and flaky from the outside and soft and hearty from the inside. The paneer makhani was one of the best we ever had, rich, hearty, savory with a hint of sweetness! The cauliflower dumplings were tangy, sour and rich in flavor. The food overall was not overwhelmingly spicy which was good. We're so happy we finally have good authentic Indian cuisine nearby. They gave us complementary treats that we did not order which was a nice gesture. would definitely recommend.”

“Today was the first time me and a friend went to Peppa's. My friend lives in Brooklyn and heard the food was good, so we ventured out and drove there. I can see why most people order for delivery or pickup if you don't live within walking distance because it's hard to find a place to park. But we finally got a spot. We walked in looking for a menu, but none was posted. The only signage was cash only; ATM inside. No one greeted us; no "Order Here" sign; everyone seemed too busy to acknowledge us. We finally just started asking what do you serve, where do we order, what's this & what's that while looking at the hot serving table. A long story short, we finally placed our orders of one large stewed chicken plate & one large fish plate. Me and my friend, who is 81 YOA, was very disappointed in the lack of customer service, lack of communication from the staff, and some seemed annoyed that we asked questions. Once we got to my friend's place and tasted the food, it was very tasty. We were happy with the food; the food was good. But please consider posting the menu, ordering instructions for walk-ins, and give customers the impression you appreciate their business ... even if you're busy filing orders.”

“This place is awesome, it is no frills, but incredibly delicious Chinese and Mexican food, and incredibly affordable. Call ahead for easy pick-up and delivery, or just show up and order. They give you a free beverage or egg rolls with larger orders, ample sauce and utensils. When friends visit we love going here, people get a kick out of being able to order tacos with their Chinese food, but its genuinely delicious (and super affordable). I love yummy taco!”
