We took our 17 year old dog Jack to Veterinary Specialists and Emergency Services when he was at the end of his life. The staff was very compassionate and professional in helping him cross the rainbow bridge in comfort and peace. They also presented us sympathy cards for our family with Jack’s paw print. I am thankful for the entire staff’s compassion and empathy during this difficult time for our family. Thank you from the bottom of my heart. 💙🐾 5/2023
I called to 15 different locations this morning from Batavia to Rochester trying to find any emergency animal care facility that would be willing to help my dog. Lupe was hit by a car at the ex's house. This was the ONLY place that didn't turn us away immediately on the phone because we weren't part of their client pool. Lupe was ok in the end. All superficial wounds luckily. These people were great though, from the women at the counter who helped me with paperwork to the vets/aides that help Lupe. To even the assistant manager who stayed behind to make sure the other women got a break before he went home. Just to cash me out when everything was set and done. Great experience, great staff. Remember, you can't put a price on your pets life. It's always going to be expensive. I have no complaints. Thank you for everything. Lupe thanks you as well
We brought Charlie Brown into VSES in late November 2022… he was very sick and we didn’t know why. We were prepared for the worst. He was inpatient for 3 days, and we were allowed to visit him every day. We still don’t actually know what was wrong with him and we might never know, but thanks to the amazing care from Internal Medicine, as well as all of the staff, and the right combo of meds, our little guy is still with us, and thriving. We will never be able to thank you enough. (Also pictured, Chewy Lewis)
When we dropped Oscar off at the vet we had no idea that we would be saying goodbye 😢 After we dropped him off and were told "we will call you in a few hours after the vet takes a look at him"..we came home and I googled the place and read the reviews. (Should've done it prior to taking him there) we didn't really have many other options since our vet was closed. Some of the reviews were really scary and heartbreaking. As I was sitting on the couch feeling incredibly guilty that I just left him there without doing any research really had me feeling defeated and sad. The vet called a few hours later as they said and updated us on somethings, the lady was so nice and said we will call you in 45 min after the blood work comes back. It wasn't even 45 min maybe 25-30 and she called us back, not good news obviously. But she very apologetic and so incredibly kind. We all walked in and they instantly took us to a room and gave all the information needed. I can't even begin to explain how thankful I am for these kind people they were reassuring, warm hearted, and so much more. They kept telling us how amazing our family is and how loved Oscar was. And that he was so well taken care of. She even cried with us.
At the end of the day I couldn't ever do what they do..I would never be able to keep it all together for families coming in and out to say goodbye to their pet.
After Oscar passed I didn't even think of paw prints. Today this card came in the mail and it made me so happy and relieved!
If you ever feel like your pet needs to be seen immediately I recommend going here, they are truly amazing.
We were out of town when our little Yorkie guy got into it with a bulldog; his forehead was ripped open down to his fractured skull, his jaw was fractured, and he was covered in puncture wounds. He was bleeding heavily, turning gray, lifeless, and seizing when he arrived. Thankfully "The Guy" is well on his way to making a full recovery (minus a couple of teeth) after being there for just over three days & back home with us and his medication. We can't thank you enough for saving his life!!!
Nice area. You can night fish here. The area doesn't close at dusk like so many other places around here.
Hopewell Riverwalk is a Boardwalk overlooking the Appomattox River in Hopewell, VA. The Boardwalk has beautiful birds and a nature walkway. It's a good place to get outside and enjoy nature.
Riverwalk is a good place to go for a walk but if you let your kids play in the sand by the water watch out for glass
Open peaceful, nice walk along the water, kids area to play, some historical information!! Loved it!!
Fun place to kill time. Nice playground for the kids, decent fishing and really cool boardwalk. You can even swim there when its warm enough.
