Jones Beach Bait and Tackle - Field 10 Concession

My family rented 6 fishing rods and spent an unfruitful afternoon at the pier. The staff was super friendly and helpful. I knotted up my reel twice and the manager kindly helped me get things back in order. Snacks and refreshment options were plentiful and available for purchase.

I finally caught my first fish on the piers!! I got on a fish that fought hard and when I pulled it up it wouldn’t come up so heavy! I heard someone yell “grab the line”! I was able to get the fish up and later met Jacob who helped me on the pier hold it, take a picture, measure it, and taught me a little about it. Turned out to be a 17 inch fluke they need to be 18.5. Very nice shop food is great with ice cream for desert and a sunset view.

I went there this Sunday afternoon 7/17/2022. The staff was very friendly Brendan, Eric, Jacob, and Thomas. What a hidden Gem, the food was great, I had the shrimp basket with red wine, great wine selection.very peaceful to sit outside, watching the boats and jet ski go by and the seagulls flying around. Will definitely be back again soon.

Brenden and his crew always make me feel like family when I come by. they have a large array of fishing poles, tackle and bait. The food is also delicious and inexpensive. If ever visiting, ask Brenden about Jacob’s Cove. he is well versed in the history of the cove and how it got its name.

Great little bait shop by the pier that has everything you'll need for fishing. Worker was very courteous and helped set up my rod and rig since it was my first time fishing. They also have food and various snacks you can get, which is great if you get hungry and need to grab something to eat. Nice sitting area outside the shop to relax and enjoy the view and landscape of Jones Beach.
