Museum of the City of New York

Address: 1220 5th Ave, New York, NY 10029, USA

Museum

“This is a great museum. I would highly recommend it. In particular, the activist of New York was an amazing exhibition that really stood out to me as something that was different and well structured. It was easy to go through each section and understand what the point of view was where it came from. What changed over time? The video as well on the ground floor was unbelievably. Interesting to see how New York has changed over time, where it started and that where it's going and overall a good museum where you can jump between the different sections and easily find your way”

Randall's Island Park

Address: 20 Randalls Island Park, New York, NY 10035, USA

Park

“This place is very beautiful and in my opinion the best way to get around and enjoy its beauty is on a bike. Weather you bring your own or rent a city bike at the entrance. The only down side was the lock of drink/food places, it looks like they currently have this part of the park under construction. An alternative would be to bring your own drinks/food. My boys and I had a great time riding the city bikes all around and enjoyed the beautiful views very much.”

Kopitiam

Address: 151 E Broadway, New York, NY 10002, USA

Cafe Restaurant

“I’ve been hearing so much about this spot, so I needed to check it out. They don’t take reservations so get here early to grab a spot. The inside of the restaurant is busy and functional, it’s meant for you to dine in quickly and get out. Try many menu options, but not really stood out. Nasi Lemak was excellent, probably the best I’ve had in NYC. The cross cross mushrooms and oyster omelette were also good. Unfortunately, other dishes like the chicken fat rice, and the beef rendang were flat and flavorless. The best part is the prices - you can try a lot of plates for a relatively good deal in New York City.”

Délice Macarons - Upper West Side

Address: 321 Amsterdam Ave, New York, NY 10023, USA

Cafe Bakery Store Restaurant

“We ordered an almond croissant and a raspberry chocolate croissant. Both were fresh, not too sweet, and very tasty. The latte and black tea were also great - it says tea forte, and they mean it, so if you’re British, you won’t be disappointed. The service was exceptional, and the lady who attended us went out of her way to accommodate us. If you haven’t been here, you are missing out!”

Creodent Prosthetics NYC

Address: 545 W 45th St 11th Floor, New York, NY 10036, USA

Health

“I started using this lab 2 years when they had an Itero promotion. I had some bad experiences with other labs and kept going back to Glidewell because while they weren't the best they were consistent. So now I start using Creodent because of this promotion and my thoughts are this will just be OK, and I'll just use them for posterior crowns because the quality will not be very good. I was dead wrong!!! They are great!!! Sure we had a learning curve and we had to learn what the other wanted but they have been super nice and the work is really nice and fits really well. Much of it may be due to the Itero but I love the consistency and the customer service. I don't know who the other dentists are referring too but I have never dealt with any unpleasant people there and whenever I need help with a complicated case they always direct me to the right person. Do we have the occasional hiccup, sure we do, like all doctor- lab relationships. But one call and its resolved. I did have the occasional delivery issue as another doctor mentioned but that's not the lab. Can't blame Amazon if UPS screws up the delivery. But they handled it fast and with no drama. I deal with Danny (the manager) a lot and we have a great relationship. I'm not afraid to tell him that something is not to my liking and he is not afraid to tell me that my prep needs work. I value that type of relationship and even when this promotion is over (in a few months), there is no reason for me to switch labs. They are on top of their game in terms of tech and they deliver really nice work from anterior crowns to implants to removable. Very pleased and see myself with them for many years to come.”

“Very fun place to have a few drinks and let lose on the dance floor. Love the decor. It has three floors which is also nice, need to check out the top which appears a bit smaller. The bottom floor looks nice has a stopped pole a bar also and a "ice cage" where you take shots. Some that you pay extra for.”

New York Karaoke Rentals

Address: 2 3rd Ave, New York, NY 10028, USA

“I contracted to rent a karaoke system from NY Karaoke Rentals and at first I thought I had made a mistake. They did not arrive at the contracted time and were over an hour late past the party starting time, but the company constantly communicated with me as they were trying to locate the missing driver (later discovered he had gotten into an accident). They dispatched a different driver and sent DJ Lou to stay for the whole night to run the system (The DJ was not part of the contract) and he was FANTASTIC!! Everyone had a great time and we look forward to working with them again. Thank you Raymond, DJ Lou and NY Karaoke for turning around a bad situation and making it GREAT!!!!”

Olde Good Things Antique Store

Address: 2420 Broadway, New York, NY 10024, USA

Furniture store Home goods store Store

“I have to laugh -- a “reviewer” named Eva Melin-Gompper below billed herself as “an antique expert” – which means she’s 100 years old; but what she meant to say is that she’s an “antiques” expert. However, if she was, she would realize Olde Good Things are not overpriced at all, as she claims. As a matter of fact, as salvagers you can say some of their pieces are flawed, but their prices are very reasonable. Check 1st Dibs and Charish, or any of the auction houses, to know what “overpriced” really means. Here you get what you get, and since you never know what that might be, the stores are fantastic for the thrill of the hunt, which is what antiquing is all about. Olde Good Things salvages materials from buildings being demolished or refurbished, including hotels, office buildings, etc., as well as creates new items out of reclaimed metals, woods, and other materials. This is a place where many truly unique finds are to be had. They have a spectacular array of lighting and fixtures, if only I had high ceilings. They also carry endless amounts of hardware, including doorknobs, and I bought vintage art deco glass ones here years ago. I bought five pieces of furniture from the two stores in Manhattan to reorganize my apartment during the past two years, and I am thrilled with all of them. They have imperfections and they weren’t cheap, but this isn’t a thrift store; it’s an antiques and salvage dealer. The stores on West 52 Street and upper Broadway are two of my favorite places to hunt, and even though I now have no more room for anything, I’ll still be looking!”
