“My experience at ATS helped root me in the historic and global movement of the church. ATS placed a great emphasis on understanding the Bible in it's original context (and languages), the development of theology throughout church history and the fulfillment of the church's mission globally. I was able to get a bigger, richer, view of the church than I had before obtaining my degree. While ATS is thoroughly evangelical, I was not taught to evaluate the Bible or the church through a 21st century evangelical lens. I was taught to assess 21st century evangelicalism through a Bible/church history lens.”

“About to graduate from their 2 year Film and TV program and have learned so, so much. The teachers are all working professionals, second year is entirely on camera, we engage in mock auditions and self tapes, and finish fully prepared to enter the industry. The new administration is extremely supportive and communicative, and they are making leaps and bounds in creating healthy environments and supporting students mental health. I’ve had the best experience and would recommend it to anyone!”

“An amazing school for those who want to succeed in a variety of fashion inspired industries. And the cost is fairly affordable for a state university. I studied Home Products Development and Marketing and left the program beyond prepared for the home industry. I had amazing professors who were not only experts in the field, but active in the industry. Add great career and networking opportunities and you get your money's worth.”

“I have been coming here for years. They are the best. First of all, it's a teaching institution so, they are not trying to make money off of you. Secondly, an entire team reviews your procedures. Lastly, it is incredibly affordable. I actually gave up my corporate dental because NYU is better- easier to get an appointment, less expensive (even with insurance it's cheaper for me to pay out of pocket). They do accept Insurance, just not what my job is offering. I really appreciate the teaching model and find the care to be thorough. I have a lot of fear and anxiety with dental work and this is the only place that I come to. Everyone is so patient and kind.”

“Top notch facilities and future design make this my new favorite study/work spot on campus. Still curious why there is a labyrinth of lockers on the basement level. How many people really use these buildings and the lockers?”

“Working at the Chekhov Studio and with Lenard Petit changed my life. I had always struggled with the more traditional/analytical approaches to performance that is generally taught in the conservatories here in the US. That work felt constraining to me. The Chekhov work is imaginative and, even, spiritual in it's approach to creating character, rhythm, and atmosphere. The technique takes all of the struggle out of acting and just makes it a purely joyful process.”

“I am an African American female 45-50 years old. Over a six week period I was diagnosed and treated for an ocular emergency. Namely, CORNEA ULCER. My experience was excellent! I felt totally satisfied with the care, respect and attention given. My questions was always answered; At each visit I was greeted friendly, and informed about the intentions of my attendant. After sanitizing the equipment my eyes was throughly examined. I had appointments every three days. Because the ULCER healing was slow, I was given an amniotic membrane treatment which miraculously sped up the healing and restored vision, comfort and ease of driving in the sunlight. Extremely grateful for the team of doctors and interns that attended to me there.”

“They Promised to teach me how to code, and teach me what I need to get in the field to find opportunities, and they deliverd on that promise. Some candidates come here hoping for GA to spoon-feed them a new job. GA doesn't give you a job. They prepare you for one, and they give you all the materials and qualifications you need to get an interview. They even teach you what to say. Took the course last year during the pandemic. Its a FULL TIME COMMITMENT, so classes went on from 9:00 am till 5:00 pm and then office hours lasted till 10:00 pm at night, and my peers and I would end up staying up till 1:00 am to practice our skillsets. But if I was given the opportunity, I would do this again, because after all the pain and training, I started a job where I actually enjoy coding, at a lot slower pace because I know how to find the information. So, a big Kudos to GA for this. Especially my instructors Cory, David, Bruno, Ali, Steven, Soleil and so many others have been so helpful in this journey.”

“I had a wonderful experience in my A1.1 beginners class at Deutsches Haus. I appreciate that our teacher, Sybille, emphasized the importance of conversation and speaking the language out loud, which is too often missing from language classes elsewhere. At the same time, we also focused on grammar and constructing sentences correctly. My classmates were from all over the world: Lithuania, China, Brazil, England, etc., and had various reasons for learning German, so all of this diversity enhanced our collective learning. Sybille also provided the German cultural context behind many of our lessons. I would highly recommend a class at Deutsches Haus to someone at any level, from a beginner like me to a fluent speaker. And you cannot beat the warm and welcoming vibe of the Haus itself!”

“Inside the Domino Effect As best I can tell, the Domino Effect occurs for two reasons. First, many of the habits and routines that make up our daily lives are related to one another. There is an astounding interconnectedness between the systems of life and human behavior is no exception. The inherent relatedness of things is a core reason why choices in one area of life can lead to surprising results in other areas, regardless of the plans you make. Second, the Domino Effect capitalizes on one of the core principles of human behavior: commitment and consistency. This phenomenon is explained in the classic book on human behavior, Influence by Robert Cialdini. The core idea is that if people commit to an idea or goal, even in a very small way, they are more likely to honor that commitment because they now see that idea or goal as being aligned with their self-image. Returning to the story from the beginning of this article, once Jennifer Dukes Lee began making her bed each day she was making a small commitment to the idea of, “I am the type of person who maintains a clean and organized home.” After a few days, she began to commit to this new self-image in other areas of her home. This is an interesting byproduct of the Domino Effect. It not only creates a cascade of new behaviors, but often a shift in personal beliefs as well. As each tiny domino falls, you start believing new things about yourself and building identity-based habits.”
