If you can open your mind and listen to what they have to say, even for just 1 hour, you will see that there are kind and empathetic people ready to rally around you and embrace you. 6 months in to outpatient treatment I promise you, your counselor will seem like family. They can be your sword and shield so that when it comes time to FIGHT this disease, you won’t be completely helpless, alone, and in immense pain.
