(November 4, 2018, 8:27 pm)Unbelievable place. I went here in October and the trees were just starting to change. It was such a peaceful and tranquil experience. Hardly any people around! So many places tucked throughout the gardens where you can sit and relax and ponder life. It is the ideal place to stroll around and listen to birds and soak up the oxygen. I loved the greenhouses too! Especially the one with the succulents and cacti. They clearly care about plants and flowers here. I can't wait to come back in Spring. My happy place. Wish it was closer to home (in NYC).
(October 12, 2018, 4:40 pm)Beautiful, relaxing. Downtown Cold Spring isn't far, so after the gardens, you can head there for lunch and shopping. A great way to spend an afternoon.
(August 16, 2018, 5:02 pm)A lovely place to spend several hours. The staff is knowledgeable and friendly. The gardens are lush. There are many interesting plant combinations that inspire. Lots of good ideas await visitors to take home!
The day we visited, there were other visitors but it wasn't crowded. Parking is ample.
Stonecrop Gardens is located close to Cold Spring, so a morning in the garden can end with a late lunch in Cold Spring, followed by some fun antiquing.
It's a great way to spend the day!
(August 9, 2018, 12:53 pm)Very pretty grounds. Over 2 acres to stroll. You get a map and plant guide at the door. 10 entrance fee is worth it. Bring a lunch and sit on the dock of the conservatory overlooking the water
