“We have a rescued family of 4 cats, mom and her offspring. Dr, Salemi has been excellent with them. We are fairly new clients; just coming up on two years. Having found our felines, we first turned to rescue groups and the A.S.P.C.A. and have gone to other vets during those first very trying months. We actually remembered Northside Animal Hospital from awhile back after having found a baby opossum on our street. It was late on a Saturday, Sean, the person at the desk was most helpful in giving advice, and has a wonderful, caring phone manner as do all the staff here. We are very satisfied!”

“Best place to take your animal on all of Staten Island! There’s not a better veterinarian hospital anywhere! Dr.Joe and Dr.Kessler are pros and have a excellent sense of humor! Family friendly and I really enjoyed going there. All the ladies are wonderful and a special shout-out to Victoria who does our cats nails and is fantastic! Prices are very reasonable. I got my sister to come here all the way from Astoria,Queens with her little dog and she says it’s definitely worth the trip! The only downfall is they need to build a bigger facility. I think the building was a older house and there’s not a lot of room to sit with your pets. Every time I’ve gone there we are literally sitting on each other’s laps plus have to make room for our pets.This place is so busy that they’ve outgrown that building...Once again thank you!”

I love that they call the day after each visit to answer questions and see how we are doing with treatment. Modern equipped rooms and internet scheduling/reminder apps give confidence and ease in maintaining prescriptions, office visits and records for kennels. “Dr. Dodd and Dr. Rosaly are fantastic! They take their time and are extra gentle with my hand shy senior dog - and they have a great "bedside manner" with us humans too. My dog was a patient there for 7 years, and we never had one bad experience. The entire staff is wonderful, especially Jill and Garrett. Everyone is friendly and caring, and scheduling appointments is always easy. I simply cannot say enough good things about this practice!”

“I have been using the clinic and the boarding facilities for over 10 yrs. Ken is awesome and has always played and kept my rambunctious boys busy while I attended to my dogs and has always been understanding to my situation. He is an all around great person and it is an honor to know him. Recently due to illnesses both my senior dogs had to be euthanized. Dr. Jenkins ran all the right diagnostic tests and did not run unnecessary tests like other vets would have. Dr. Jenkins is an exceptional vet and I cannot express in words how caring and empathetic she is and what great veterinary care she gave my dogs. She always went above and beyond for my dogs. She came in on her day off to ease their pain and send them off to the rainbow bridge. They made a very hard time easier for me. John the vet tech knew my dogs for years and is the best around. He treated my dogs as if they were his own. The care and empathy of the vets, vet techs, the owner (Ken) and staff is the best around. I am glad I found this great clinic and I cannot recommend them enough or thank them enough.”

“The best experience ever. He has come to us a few times already. My cat was so afraid of the Vet so when my neighbors referred him to us I felt like I won the lottery. What a wonderful and wise Vet. He clearly loves animals and treats them with care and love and expertise. Also when we had to put our old beloved 20 year old cat to sleep, (he was suffering and there was no cure and he was too old for surgery at that point) DR. Astarbi came to the house and made it a beautiful and human experience. We were all crying my husband and our daughter and I, but he guided us and we could not have had a better way for our cat: "Chairman Mau" to go, in his own house with us holding him, in his favorite spot, without suffering or pain or anguish. I am forever grateful to him. I will not look for anyone else. Also reasonably priced. HIGHLY recommend him.”
