“A group of us were upstate for the weekend and on our way back we had a quick stop here. Super friendly service and very nice owner. The espresso was excellent. The owner said it was a blend they make themselves. My other friend had an iced chi latte and he said it was one of the best he had. Would love to visit again soon.”

“Went for dinner on a Friday night. We were able to get a table for 2! They have indoor and outdoor seating. The outdoor lawn area and a live band. The service was good and the food was delicious, from the complimentary bread basket with olive oil to the entrees. We did not have dessert but will next time. They have an extensive wine list and cocktails. I especially like that they offer mocktails! The mocktail for the night was a guava juice spritzer and it's was so good!”

“La Bamba is a hidden gem in the small town of Sparkill, NY. They have a restaurant in the back of a grocery story that serves fresh authentic Mexican food. The owners are so nice and the food is always amazing. I've tried everything on the menu and you can't go wrong. There are only about 4 tiny tables in the back so we usually do take out. For great fresh Mexican take out you can't beat LaBamba. ”

“My child has attended Red Owl Academy for more than a year, and I cannot say enough positive things about the school. Thanks to the talented and dedicated staff, children are able to develop in a nurturing and safe environment. The curriculum is comprehensive and creative. In addition to math, reading, writing, and science, children paint, cook, garden, and do yoga. They collaborate over puzzles and blocks and dramatic play. They build obstacle courses and make play dough. They sing and dance. They learn French. There is a weekly show-and-tell where each child can present something of interest to classmates. Parents are informed each step of the way through daily pictures and notes. One of my favorite things about the school is that the staff encourage each child’s curiosity. If the kids want to learn about butterflies or dinosaurs or birds, targeted educational tools (books, songs, projects) are introduced. For example, when the children became interested in bird watching, the class read books about different birds, built bird feeders, and observed and recorded which birds came to feed as part of a project at Cornell University’s Lab of Ornithology. The wonderful facility and intimate class size lend themselves to a variety of activities. The founder, also a parent, is tireless in her effort to provide the best educational experience to the children. She has partnered with local institutions, such as Tenafly Nature Center, to enhance the curriculum. I cannot wait for my youngest child to attend Red Owl Academy when he turns 3!”
