“I'm someone who will pay a little extra for service and quality. My initial interaction with NW8 needed some improvements, on the service side, and boy did they not disappoint the second time around. I was extremely impressed with their desire to make my experience that much better. I felt that immediately when the owner called me directly to discuss how my initial interaction went. We discussed some improvements i felt as the customer, could use some attention. He didn't hesitate to immediately address those points and act on them. What makes a business worth going back to and speak highly of, is feeling like you are heard and cared about. He cared about my suggestions and making it right. Making it the best experience. Making it about the customer. Businesses these days only care about money and turning and burning. Not here. I felt like i was more than just a person spending $1,300.00 and another number on their turnstile. Finally, about the fitting itself. I had a custom fitting with their Trackman technology and Mike Koch. Mike was the best. This may have been my first custom club fitting ever, let alone at NW8, however, Mike didn't make it feel that way. He explained every number we were looking at, areas of improvement needed and why. More importantly, he spoke to me in a way that made these "foreign language numbers" make sense. The numbers on the screen were just numbers to me and i had no idea what i was reading. After about 10mins, of what ended up being 2hrs, of him breaking it down in a way that made sense and where my money was going, i was speaking Trackman language as though i had been through 20 custom fittings with him and NW8. Mike was personable, didn't rush the process, or rush me out of there just because there was another one immediately following my fitting. He gave his undivided attention to me, without distraction. Awesome. In summary, ownership cares about making it about the customer. Their Trackman technology spot on. Mike Koch is someone i highly recommend asking for when going in for a Trackman custom fitting. Worth every penny spent. Kudos to Scott, Mike and NW8. Ill be back without hesitation. You shouldn't hesitate to go spend money there, either.”

“This is a great YMCA! The cardio room and the weights area are very nice and clean. They provide spray bottles for everyone to clean their station when they are not using it. Very nice machines and all of them work perfectly. Staff members are very nice and kind. Yoga classes and Spin classes are very good and there are multiple classes to choose from every day. The pool is sometimes empty and sometimes crowded but is very nice and has lots of great things like a hot tub, sauna, steam room, and other swimming equipment to help unexperienced swimmers! They also take great care of children and my child is always happy. Lots of options for exercises and lots of different features. The classes always have equipment if you don't bring your own and all of the classes are really good and the instructors are very well qualified. Overall, amazing YMCA! The only reason I didn't give this a 5 star is because the men's locker room smells very bad.”

“My 90 minute deep tissue massage experience with Daniel this morning was top notch!! I’ve had many deep tissue massages at different spas all over, and he hands down had the best technique. Often when leaving a massage, I feel like the therapist did a great job on one area of my body, but kinda let me down on other areas, especially after I’ve mentioned a few areas I’d like them to focus on. There wasn’t one muscle spot he didn’t thoroughly touch on to relieve tension. Really looking forward to Saratoga Botanicals new location opening and another service from Daniel!!”

“Amazing experience - soaking in hot spring water for 45 minutes! Healing and relaxing in 90% pure spring water. 10% hot tap water is added to heat up the bath water to perfect 104ish degrees. The facilities are nice and clean. The tubs are the actual historic ones from the 30s which were restored and lined. Soaking in this water feels amazing and time flies - I could have easily doubled the time. There is a massage and other packages which I didn’t take advantage of this time. Interesting fact, while there are fresh springs and mineral water available for people to fill up our own containers, there doesn’t seem to be actual bottling plant. The water baring the Saratoga name is actually bottled in Main according to the bottle label - see the picture. Make sure to check out the restaurants suggested to me - pictures at the end of the post. Sweet Mimi’s apparently uses local ingredients including milk produced by local cows.”

“Jiu jitsu has been an amazing experience for my daughter. She began studying at age 10 and is now 13. She has gained confidence and a keen sense of awareness in her surroundings. Self defense require both physical and mental toughness paired with strategy. Eddie Fyvie commands attention with a calm demeanor and thought provoking questions to his students. “Dr. A. has been nothing short of amazing. He took me on in the 3rd trimester of what was previously explained to me to be a very high risk pregnancy. At first his very laid back approach to my pregnancy was a little alarming as my previous doctor had led us to believe that basically, we would be lucky if the baby made it at all. In hindsight, Dr. A’s approach was actually amazing. He is honest and kind while avoiding terrifying you, without overreacting, and without ordering unnecessary medications or tests. He delivered my son who was happy & healthy with zero complications. He took amazing care of both myself and my son. He answered all of my questions and never made me feel rushed. He made sure that my husband was included in all conversations and decisions instead of speaking only to me as the patient. He is old school in the sense that it is a 1 doctor practice. You can get appointments quickly, but can sometimes wait in the room a bit for the doctor, but that is quite rare. When you call after hours for labor or questions, it is Dr. A himself that calls you back within 5-10 minutes no matter what time of day. When I got pregnant again 5 months after having my son, Dr. A. didn’t lecture me at all, he ran the tests needed to ensure that my body was at it’s healthiest and that baby and I would be okay. This pregnancy has had zero issues and has been the least stressful yet; even with having an almost 1 year old at home. He is amazing with our son on the rare occasion that he goes with me to prenatal appointments, Dr. A. talks to him, makes him laugh, and interacts wonderfully with him. His nurse Lorraine, is quite possibly one of the best parts of the entire office. She can is sarcastic, witty and overall; she is warm, caring and hilarious. She will not sugarcoat anything for you but you can tell she cares and will help however she can. If you are used to ultrasounds every month, or a doctor that medicated or freaks out over everything; than Dr. A. May not be a great fit for you, but for our family and several friends of mine; he has been a very welcomed breath of fresh air and trip back in time when doctors saw patients as people, not as a number.”
