Landis Arboretum

Address: 174 Lape Rd, Esperance, NY 12066, USA

Park

“Beautiful and scenic spot not too far from the Cap. Region. 30-40 mins from Albany. I wanted to bring my kids to see a botanical garden nearby, Landis Arboretum came up during my search. We went this week, so I think it’s a bit early still for all the real blooms. But it was still a beautiful place to visit and explore. A little muddy still but the open area, pavilion, and sculptures were fun to look at. We will be back when the weather gets a bit warmer! Also, bring snacks! There’s not a whole lot nearby and the town is quite small.”

Country Roads Campground

“Went here with friends last weekend. The place is so awesome. Can't wait to go again. The walk around the gilboa reservoir is excellent and has wonderful views. It's merely a quarter mile away from the campgrounds. Definitely visit there. Make sure you walk all the way to the halfway point and the views will reveal themselves.”

Mine Kill State Park

Address: 161 Mine Kill Rd, North Blenheim, NY 12131, USA

Park

“What a beautiful park. I really enjoyed it. It has very clean bathrooms and plenty of parking throughout the park. To access the waterfalls just make a turn at the Mine Kill Falls Overlook sign on Route 30 then there will be a green trail it takes about 15 mins going very slowly. The boat/ kayak launch closes on Oct 1 so I'll make sure to come before that next year!”

Twin Oaks

Address: 142 Twin Oaks Ln, Schoharie, NY 12157, USA

Campground Lodging Park

“This is a clean, well maintained campground that is quiet and peaceful. The views are spectacular and the pond is gorgeous. The owners are friendly and helpful! My trailer hit ball was loose when I arrived and Larry (one of the owners) helped diagnose it as the wrong size shank on my hitch! He had a new proper sized ball in stock and even installed it for me so we would be ready for the next leg of our journey. So helpful and friendly this one act helped save me half a day going to find it myself! Such a great experience, I highly recommend this campground!”
