“Dr. Piliero- 5 stars Vet techs- 4/5 stars Front desk- 3-5 stars (depending on the person) Dr. Piliero is fantastic. She treated my dog when he was a puppy but then we moved away. 3 years later came back to town for a family emergency, during which my dog also got very sick. She remembered him! Made time to see him, ensured thorough care, and they took the time to answer all questions and make sure I was well informed. It was frustrating not being able to get an appointment on the weekend, but they fit us in as early as they could. I'm saddened to see so many low star reviews for this practice, because I truly don't think they deserve it.”

I have complete confidence in their clinical skills and their cage side manners get an A+.The support staff is helpful too. Very nice women there. The office always goes the extra mile to help in any way the can. i cannot say a single bad word about them. Always kind and professional. I also board our parrot there with complete confidence that she will not only be well cared for but that she'll have a great time and be treated like family there- like one of the flock. Update: our parrot fell ill (is better now) and the care the bird received there was 1st Class. Very attentive and caring. I was always promptly informed of any results and updates. Not that I wanted to undergo this experience but it showcased the commitment and expertise of the doctors and the staff. I see a lot of reviews commenting on the cost of care. Good care for any animal can be costly. The expert care by all of the Vets at Island Exotics is totally worth it. I find their prices competitive or better than other exotic Vets I have seen. And you can't put a price on the expert care and great staff they have at that office.”

“This is the second time in a couple years that I've needed an emergency vet late at night and both times I've made the 20 minute drive here instead of ones closer to me because of the exceptional service and care. From the staff who check you in to the doctors, everyone is so incredibly kind and attentive. The facility itself is very clean and comfortable. Additionally, despite the visits being considered emergency, the costs are no where near astronomical. This is definitely my go to hospital for emergencies and if I lived closer, they'd be my regular vet for sure.”
