“My son was diagnosed with autism spectrum disorder and he received early intervention and then went on to building blocks where he received speech and o.t. and did wonderfully there mrs Leslie was his teacher the first year in a 12:1:2 and then ms Kaitlyn the second year in a 10:1:1 he has progressed so much and the staff was always helpful and nice to my wife and I. I don't know about other peoples experiences but my son and my experience were nothing short of great hes on his way to kindergarten now and is in a 15:1:1 I think he will move on to an integrated class next year and possibly eventually go mainstream. He also has a great support structure at home and we weren't the Not My Kid parents we always did and continue to do what is in his best interest. Not every ASD child is the same so when looking for a school make sure you do your homework. In my experience building blocks was great”

“I can't say enough about how wonderful this school is! My eldest daughter had trouble adjusting anywhere else, but here she just fit right in. She became a happy child with love and thirst for learning! She not only gained a tremendous academic knowledge but also something very rare these days, like manners. Every child is loved and cared for and their individual needs always noticed and catered. I also found in the head teacher a trusted partner in my children's education. Needless to say my second daughter is going at this preschool now and the first thing she tells me is that she wants to go to school. I wrote this review because I felt other parents out there could benefit of this wonderful school. The school doesn't advertise at all and they don't put themselves out there. They have been operating for 20 years by word of mouth and that says a lot! Don't hesitate to trust them and make them part of your child's life.”

“Amanda has been teaching both of our girls for several years and we have been thrilled. Amanda did a great job preparing our 10 year old for NYSSMA and throughout the year she provides a great mix of classical and modern songs for the girls to learn. She is good at providing gentle discipline which my children definitely need especially when it comes to practicing! Amanda also puts together an awesome end of year concert for her students which is very special and gives her students a chance to perform in front of an audience. She is courteous, punctual and very talented!”

“I’m been a graduate from commack from the class of 2015. I have to say I miss commack high school. Their teachers were amazing to me. I’ve Learned a lot during my time their. I just didn’t like the coaches for basketball when I tried out they were not as fair as I thought they would be. Tried out all 4 years and still picking the same kid and still missing the playoffs. But hey it’s the past but other than that I would recommend this school! Hope to come back and visit soon!”
