“This book store is a rare gift of collectible books (if one still collects books instead of just reads them and gifts them to their friends and families like I do for the most part) The Village Bookstore is a quant shop of delight. As opposed to bigger more prominent named bookstores this one has rarer more elusive titles. Some authors I’ve come across that I feel worth mentioning as I’m 100 books from reading 1,000 total books in my lifetime are: Simone De Beauvoir, Thomas Pynchon, Patti Smith (Punk singer), Mieko Kawakami, Sojourner Truth etc, as mentioned earlier you’ll not find such an array of manifold authors in more prominent bookshelves- Their Penguin Books Great Ideas shelf is a great value for one’s dollar and the tomes are a quick or acute read however one wishes to process the work. Great bookstore.”
